The project was named In-formation. All its kind this fantastic installation refers to the image of the Grand Canyon or similar wonders of the world. Before starting cooperation with Alcantara S.p.A., British designer Ross Lavgrove visited Jordan, where he was very impressed with the monument of Petra. The latter became the main source of inspiration for the creation of the present masterpiece. To help the creator came the company's materialAlcantara S.p.A., which due to its color was able to interpret the idea in life. A special aerographic technique was used, which made it possible to achieve the maximum resemblance to the layers of rocks or stone structures characteristic of lifeless deserts. As the CEO of Alcantara S.p.A Andrea Boragno stated, "Ross Lovegrove rethought Alcantara's material, underscored its universality and uniqueness, focusing on the social responsibility of the company." The undulating installation was presented atIMM-2017 in Cologne, and in a few days the exhibition has collected a lot of enthusiastic reviews. The company will continue to work with representatives of the design industry to present the most real masterpieces to the world. Ross Lovegrove, designer - For me it is not only a beautiful material for upholstery, but also a very durable, reliable product. My goal was to show it in such a way that the viewer had the feeling that he saw the stone formations of Petra or the Grand Canyon. Installation In-Formation is a conceptual abstraction of a stunning natural phenomenon. The chairs are also inspired by natural stone layering. The idea for their creation was born in collaboration with the leader in the field of 3D design - Arturo Tedeschi, with whom we often work on the creation of such complex projects.
