Dangerous pleasure: the most stylish weapon store in Russia

Designers from the ArchPoint bureau have developed the interiorfor the Kolchuga store, which is located in the very center of Moscow. Why there is not a single scarecrow in it, you can find out from our article! Kolchuga is the first domestic non-state chain of arms stores. Specializes in the sale of the best weapons and equipment. The store in question is located in the historical center of the capital, in the building of Gostiny Dvor, not far from the Kremlin and the Historical Museum. Here you can often see artists, politicians, journalists. The authors of the project, architects Valery Lizunov and Valeria Bykova, proposed to create an interior that will continue the history of the building and emphasize its merits: high ceilings and vaults. Another goal was to get away from the typical hunting theme (stuffed animals and similar entourage), to create not so much a store as an exhibition space in which weapons are exhibited. Hence - the abandonment of the traditional counter in favor of specially designed showcases, decorated in a classic style. Valery Bykov, architect: "The project was very interesting in terms of implementation. Since the building is historic, when dismantling previously unknown unknown bearing elements were discovered. I also had to finalize the ventilation system. In addition, special security requirements are placed on the arms stores, and this has also left a serious imprint on the work. " The weapon itself, having its own aesthetics andCharm, organically becomes the subject of the interior, while the rest of its elements (stucco monograms on the walls, oak arch portals, as well as stucco deer heads adorning showcases) rather focus on expensive exhibits. As a general interior color schemeselected tones close to bleached oak. Zoning is carried out, firstly, at the expense of different levels of the floor, and secondly, by means of textures (wood and painting). There are zones of melee weapons, guns, clothes, VIP ... The department of the legendary brand of weapons Beretta is especially highlighted, in which the corporate preferences of the Italian manufacturer are combined with the general interior of the store: no stucco molding (only the Beretta logo is left), marble on the floor is laid out with a classic pattern, dark showcases with a light backdrop. http://archpoint.ru/ Valery Lizunov Valeria Bykova
