Furniture on the 3d printer: a new designer chair

Interestingly, if the well-known architects took upDesigning furniture, what would have come of it? The answer was tried to find Russian designers Anna Strupinskaya and Alexey Ivashkevich. As a basis for the work, they decided to take the tower on Shabolovka, built in 1920 by Vladimir Shukhov, and its famous hyperboloid net structure, which is capable of withstanding enormous loads. As a result, Anna and Alexey have turned out, which consists of 24 structural elements. All connections are printed on, and the chair itselfCan withstand loads up to 300 kilograms and can be collected / disassembled by hand an unlimited number of times. The designers gave their name to their mastermind, Shukhov-chair. And he became only the first object in the whole series of furniture for architectural reasons, which was conceived by Anna and Alex. We are waiting for the continuation!
