For most people, the main room in the houseis the living room. It is here that they receive guests or relax with the whole family in the evenings. Owners of the apartment always pay special attention to the design of the living room, because of its presentableness, the overall impression of the whole housing is formed. To make the premises unique, expensive repairs and exquisite furniture is not enough. A unique uniqueness of the room will be given by the original decor of its walls, which can be thought up and implemented independently, without resorting to the services of highly paid designers. 
For the decoration of the living room, there are no specific rules, the main thing is that all accessories are kept in the same style with the room.
Wall decoration with paintings, photos and photo wallpapers
How to decorate a wall in a hall?The fashion of decorating rooms with painting never goes away. If the owners of the apartment have a good collection of paintings, then the most successful place to place them will be (Fig. 1). Such wall decor can be made both immediately after the renovation and several years after its completion. In order for the paintings to look beautiful on the wall and to be pleasantly combined with the interior of the hall, several important points must be taken into account:

- most spectacular objects of painting will look on the walls, covered with monophonic wallpaper;
- large canvases should be placed slightly above average human growth, and small pictures will look perfect if placed at eye level;
- Frames for paintings should harmonize in color with wallpaper, furniture or interior items;
- On one wall can be placed as one, and several canvases;
- small miniatures are best posted in small groups, completing them on topics (for example, you can put portraits, landscapes or still-lifes together);
- The size and number of fabrics must necessarily be compared with the wall area.
Instead of painting objects, the walls can be decoratedfamily photos. Such an approach in the living room decor will allow guests to get acquainted in absentia with all the people living in the house and their immediate relatives. To make the pictures look more interesting, they can be placed in fashionable textured frames, which by themselves can become an ornament of any room. The best way to frame the frames in a single stylistic decision, then the entire collection of pictures placed on the wall will look holistically.

Application of wall painting
Ideal for creative people will bedecorating a single-colored wall in the hall with paints. To draw on the working surface of any image with his own hand, does not necessarily have exceptional artistic abilities. To apply the picture to the wall, you can use a special stencil. The design should be chosen in such a way that it is ideally combined with the interior of the entire room.

- textured rollers;
- varnish.
It is very important that the wall that is to bepaint, was in perfect condition. Preliminary it needs to be plastered and primed. Only after this you can proceed to apply the pattern to the surface.

Mirrors in the interior of the living room
Free wall in the hall can be successfully supplemented with a mirror. Due to the correctly chosen dimensions of the mirror surface, it will be possible to visually expand the boundaries of the living room and fill it with light. 
Soft muted colors will give the atmosphereromanticism and comfort. Mirror in a beautiful frame is able to become the main highlight of the room. You need to arrange it so that it reflects the crystal chandelier, flowerpots and all the beautiful things that are in the room. Such a reception will give the living room extra luxury. Decorate the hall with mirrors you need with knowledge, otherwise you can mess up the interior:
- The narrow room can be visually expanded by installing a reflective surface on a long wall;
- Do not hang in a cramped room with huge mirrors, as they absorb space and make it uncomfortable;
- To give the dark room additional natural light, the mirror should be placed on a wall perpendicular to the window.
If the living room is spacious and well lit,then the mirror can only be used as an element of decor and set at your own discretion. The last squeak of fashion is decorating the wall with a composition of several mirrors placed in the original frames. If you arrange them on the decorated wall chaotically or with a ladder, you can achieve an interesting design effect. Just a few reflective surfaces will make the living room glamorous and extraordinarily stylish.
