In fact, this is not always the case, sometimes artificial material is more expensive than natural, and this is due, first of all, to production costs. Natural materials will always be valued more than artificial ones, not in terms of cost, but in terms of their perception. Indeed, natural materials retain the warmth of the sun, even if it is a stone. Place your hand on a natural marble or granite slab on occasion and compare the feel of a faux kitchen countertop afterwards. Marble is clearly nicer. The tactile sensations from natural materials are fundamentally different from artificial ones.

You can often hear that you should not make kitchen countertops out of marble, because they leave marks on them. I will answer: there are various impregnations for this. In this regard, wood is a more flexible material. Natural wood flooring is the best solution for any living space, even if it is not solid wood, but parquet or engineered board or block parquet. Laminate is nothing compared to solid wood, especially if you have a dog. You will hear the clacking of her claws from any corner of the apartment, and natural material will drown out all the sound. And then, laminate is, in fact, pressed paper. 
The use of natural textiles will make the interiormuch more comfortable: linen and cotton as curtains, felt in furniture upholstery, woolen blankets or bedspreads. In order to make a modern interior out of natural materials, it is worth choosing a texture without explicit processing, or such that it looks like raw or aged. The roughness of the surface, the brutality and simplicity of design solutions in combination with the softness of textiles and open (concrete, metal, glass) materials, matte surfaces are what is now in trend.
