How to expand the space in the apartment

Original solutions for space expansion

Brooklin Apartment, completed in 2012year, developed by the studio Kwartet Arquitetura. This creation is located in São Paulo, Brazil. This is a small modern apartment: the desire of the family was to save three bedrooms. The living room is really cramped, but should be comfortable and practical for everyone. This was the main problem of repair. Since the living space is very narrow, there was a difficulty with the arrangement of the furniture. The installation of a two-sided sofa created two different spaces for comfortable seating. “A young couple is planning to have children. For this reason, it was decided to reconstruct 95 sq.m. housing in sao paulo. Due to budget constraints, more efficient use of available space was planned. They wanted an environment design that was flexible and clean. Since the hall and the kitchen are really small, then they were united, creating a large environment. The doors to the terrace were dismantled, and new windows were installed on the facade of the building. Thereby adding an extra area to the rest room. The light gray tile covers the entire floor surface, with the exception of the former open area, where the freijó wood flooring heats the environment. Neutral grayish shades are also applied to the walls to visually merge the zones. Oak bookcase, bar, barbecue harmoniouslyfit into the decorator extension. The dining black table, lacquered TV stand is designed as a whole, thus making optimal use of space. White, kitchen and polished ink granite provide a pleasant play of contrasts. The modern sink is designed in satin finish, and mirrors make the toilet much wider than it actually is. Modular beige upholstered sofa iscentral piece of furniture, very mobile in use. The layout is inconstant: modest, wooden benches and a table can be placed where it is appropriate. The journal setting and seating for the dining area is also made of wood, and the turquoise chairs add color touches. Not quite white curtains provide privacy and protection from the sun. Works of art on the walls add individuality to the interior. ”
