To give the seat an updated look, you only need to reattach and bandage the existing springs in a new way, while trying to evenly place them on the surface of the base. It happens that instead of springs, the back of the chair and its seat is filled with special soft fillers: foam rubber, latex, sea grass. In such cases, the burlap is scratched from the back of the seat and sintepon, foam rubber, vegetable fibers are added inside. Then the sacking is sewed. Previously, chairs were produced with a very strong frame, so, pulling on the new upholstery, you can extend the life of the chairs for a few more years.
