Amazing Art Nouveau House AmazingThe house with the telling name Walk the line, located on the river bank in the city of Ritoque (Chile), seems to be suspended in the dunes, between a dream and reality. This project was implemented within the open city of the cultural corporation Amereida. For more than half a century, the School of Architecture and Design at the Catholic University of Valparaiso has been ennobling this place. And all this time, a small town with a unique, unparalleled experimental architecture has been built on its basis.
The Roof Bridge is an unrivaled solution in its originality. Don’t be fooled by the apparent simplicity of the simple forms and straight lines of this strange and charming shelter.

Second Floor Plan This is currentlyThe open city accommodates many of the school's staff and some of its students. It also contains one chapel, a cemetery, a theater, a music hall, and many public buildings and structures.
House on stilts under a welcoming skyValparaiso In 2012, The Scarcity and Creativity Studio was invited to contribute creatively to the development of an open city through three architectural works. Walk the Line is one of them. It is a completely isolated small residential unit with a bed, a table and an outdoor terrace.
The wood finish creates a feeling of warmth andcoziness The design for this tiny refuge is based on the "Maison de l'Artisan" by the famous French modernist architect Le Corbusier. Architecture students and other professionals often come here to study this unique experiment in architecture. Walk the Line kindly hosts visitors for a few nights.
When you want to spread your wings The length of the wideThe wooden bridge over the residential block is 12.9 meters long. One side rests on thin iron piles, the other on the house itself. The bridge frame can withstand a load of 2.7 tons. At one end of the terrace you can admire the sunrise in the dunes of the open city. At the other end, at the appointed hour, a view of the sunset over the Pacific Ocean opens up.
