The project was named In-formation.The entire appearance of this fantastic installation refers to the image of the Grand Canyon or similar wonders of the world. Before starting cooperation with the company Alcantara S.p.A., the British designer Ross Lovegrove visited Jordan, where he was very impressed by the monument of Petra. The latter became the main source of inspiration in the creation of the current masterpiece. The company's material came to the aid of the creatorAlcantara S.p.A., which thanks to its color was able to translate the idea into reality. A special airbrushing technique was used, which allowed to achieve maximum similarity with the layers of rocks or stone structures typical of lifeless deserts. As stated by the CEO of Alcantara S.p.A. Andrea Boragno, "Ross Lovegrove rethought the Alcantara material, emphasized its versatility and uniqueness, placing emphasis on the social responsibility of the company." The wave-like installation was presented atIMM-2017 in Cologne, and in just a few days the exhibition has collected a lot of enthusiastic reviews. The company will continue to work with representatives of the design industry to show the world real masterpieces. Ross Lovegrove, designer - For me, it is not only a beautiful upholstery material, but also a very durable, reliable product. My goal was to show it in such a way that the viewer had the feeling that he saw the stone formations of Petra or the Grand Canyon. The In-Formation installation is a conceptual abstraction of an amazing natural phenomenon. The chairs are also inspired by natural stone layering. The idea for their creation was born in collaboration with the leader in the field of 3D design - Arturo Tedeschi, with whom we often work on the creation of such complex projects.
