Before the renovation, this tiny bathroomlooked dull and uninteresting. Its decor was done in muted brown tones. The new owners of the house planned to arrange a playroom for their children next door, so a radical interior renovation was needed. Designer Rachel Seldin transformed the dull, semi-dark bathroom into a whimsical space with powerful energy and bright decor.

In addition to its modest dimensions and sloppy color scheme, palette, Seldin noticed the strange, angular configuration of the bathroom. The fact is that the foundation of the house formed a large ledge in the wall from the floor to the window. The designer decided that if she included bright wallpaper with a curvilinear pattern in the interior, the space would seem more complex and voluminous. By doing so, she once again refuted the assertion that saturated prints are inappropriate in compact spaces. In this case, it was the pattern that helped soften the corners and hide the flaws in the layout. The wallpaper is reliably protected from steam and splashes thanks to a special polyurethane coating. This room is used by children, so it was impossible to do without bright accessories. The orange and red towel stand, coupled with multi-colored hooks, enriches the interior with a whole palette of colors.By tiling the wall protrusion, the designer created a semblance of a countertop that is resistant to moisture and damage. The combination of design components fills the space with spontaneity and dynamism, which fits perfectly into the concept of decorating a children's room.
