Where did international design leaders lead us?expert audience during the immense Fuorisalone 2016? Today we will tell you about 22 points on the map of Milan, where the exhibits once again confirmed the exhibition trends shown at the Salone del Mobile, which took place at the same time. And first, the design trends themselves from design critic Olga Kosyreva. Olga Kosyreva, design critic: - The return to fashion of the 70s and 80s, yellow metal and experiments with corroded coatings, muted natural colors, mirrors, technological wonders, as well as plants and downright entire gardens in the interiors of city dwellers tired of urbanization. These are the trends, and we will now live with them for at least a year. 1. Rubelli Casa The main novelty from the fabric magnates Rubelli is the release of exclusive furniture. The Rubelli showroom on Via Fatebenefratelli, 9 presented collections in the themed format of the In Wonderland cocktail party. The artistic leitmotif of Rubelli's "Wonderland" was the work of the renowned photographer Giovanni Gastel. Here, it is impossible not to mention the separately released Pila 47 armchair. It is associatively reminiscent of a fabric cylinder that takes the shape you need when sitting. Structurally, the armchair has a rounded geometric shape and is reinforced with "reinforced felt" so that the structure of the back of the armchair is strong enough for comfortable sitting. The armchair is presented in 10 natural fabric finishes, designed by Emanuele Nava and Luca Maria Arosio, founders of Nava + Nava Design Studio. And finally, Rubelli — Automobili. Right in front of the showroom, a Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder, covered in Rubelli Aspern fabric, was placed, causing admiration among all guests passing by. 2.Asko Only a privileged audience was invited to the evening of style and design at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The occasion was the presentation of the collection from the Swedish high-end home appliance company Asko — Scandinavian Passion, shown at the event organized by L’ Uomo Vogue and Asko. Among the invited companies were Margherita Puri Negri, Viola Arrivabene, Valenti Gonzaga, Francesco Missoni, Fabrine Constantini, Ettore Mocchetti, Franjo Bobinac, Violante Nessi, Francesca Versace, Alan Prada, Irina Dirilova and many others. 3. Bulgari Art installation B.zero1 appeared in full splendor at the evening event in the garden of the Bulgari Hotel. It was a composition of 18 steel rings connected in the shape of a triangle. The evening also brought together guests from various professions of the design industry: representatives of the international press, famous designers, socialites and trend-setters. Among the guests of honor were such designers as Philippe and Jasmine Starck, Ito Morabito, Daniel Arsham, Alex Mustonen, Job Smeets, Artut Arbesser, Andrea Pompilius, Andrea Inkontri, Francesca Versace and many others. The editorial team of Roomble also managed to enjoy the magical aromas of the spring garden - and we are happy to share with you a photo report! 4.SieMatic SieMatic presented new design solutions for kitchen spaces in three styles: Urban, Classic and Pure in the new SieMatic Monte Santo store. On April 13, the famous American designer Mick de Giulio was personally present at the presentation of the latest collections. He also presented and signed his latest book, simply titled Kitchen. A pleasant addition to the already rich program was a culinary show in collaboration with the Swiss appliance manufacturer V-Zug. Chef Umberto Zanassi and Cristopher Lacroix prepared mouth-watering delicacies accompanied by exquisite wines from Conte Collalto. 5.Marni Ballhaus The presentation of the home interior collection from Marni was very lively! The agency Karla Otto organized the Marni Ballhaus event. Not just dancing, but a real ball in the Colombian style greeted guests with an incendiary atmosphere and inimitable decorations made of exclusive Marni skirts! And those who wanted to feel like one of the main characters in the performance were offered dance lessons. And all this in order to draw attention to the special character of the new home collection from Marni. 6.Flos Lighting Masters Flos were located in two spaces at once. The Flos Store gallery was opened in the showroom at Corso Monforte, 9, with a galaxy of light art objects for interiors and exteriors: Captain Flint and Extra by Michael Anastassiades, Kelvin Edge by Antonio Citterio, Camouflage by Piero Lissoni, Superloon by Jasper Morrison, Bon Jour T and Bon Jour Unplugged by Philippe Starck, Serena T by Patricia Urquiola. The second part of the non-exhibition program from Flos — The Flos Professional Space — was located next door, at Corso Monforte, 15. Here, all the invitees gathered to celebrate Flos’ new collaboration with the world-famous Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen. 7.Spazio Pontaccio The capsule collection Credenza by Patricia Urquiola and Federico Pepe has attracted thousands of admiring glances through its glass facets. We remind you: especially for the art gallery Spazio Pontaccio, the designers presented an installation that included items made by hand by the authors using glass from stained glass windows of ancient churches. 8.Bulthaup Bulthaup b3 — focusing life on the most important things. According to CEO Marc O. Escert, “People don’t want the status of a symbolic product — they want a story!” This is how the main interactive installation by Bulthaup was obviously born. It took place in the former church of San Carpoforo on Via Marco Formentini, 10. All the furniture systems presented here consisted of modules that can be easily transformed from a kitchen to a living room and vice versa — the history of your home can change before your eyes. This allowed guests to playfully move everything and explore new possibilities of furniture. And here, just on some of the models there were very beautiful, natural, oak tabletops. They were attached to black metal frames with a special clamp, which, in turn, complemented the collection and the entertaining interactive experience with the charm of a bygone era. 9.Santoni The Santoni boutique at Via Montenapoleone, 6 presented the Papiro collection by the luxury Italian brand Budri. The design of the new line of wallpaper in the form of a marble panel was developed by Patricia Urquiola. Papiro sheets no more than 0.8 millimeters thick create a surprisingly integral and durable covering — like the finest marble carpet, it is perfect for finishing all vertical surfaces of the interior. 10.Alcantara Magic hotel Alcantara, as promised, became a real spectacle! No one remained indifferent. The images were especially spectacular at night, when the images projected onto the building came to life in the windows as silhouettes of people just like you, only animated. For reference: Magic hotel Alcantara is a unique 2D and 3D project created from branded material with photographic printing applied to it. 11.Moooi The new world of creations from Moooi is called Rebellious Harmony. Contemporary surrealism unfolded on 1,700 square meters of halls on Via Savona, 56. There were 22 compositions on pedestals. On each were wall prints from the young British photo artist Rebecca Lillith Bathory. They were complemented by no less eccentric furniture from Moooi designers, in particular, from Marcel Wanders. 12.Barovier & Toso Barovier & Toso and Paola Navone presented their new collection as a journey into ethnicity. Colourful traditions of different cultures gathered in a variety of yurts. Each of them was filled with original lamps and accompanying decor and shimmered with deep colour schemes. Trees and huts are something that few expected and that is unlikely to be repeated. Thus, the Tortona zone once again gave a lot of impressions to its guests. 13.Grohe The Grohe company gathered architects, designers, business partners and media representatives on the 39th floor of the modern Palazzo della Regione Lombardia building for a closed evening event A View on Innovation. Grohe Vice President of Design Michael Siem presented the latest innovations of the brand to those gathered: the Grohe Sensia Arena toilet-bidet and the Grohe Rainshower SmartControl shower system. In addition, Grohe products could be seen at the exhibition “Different spaces for different people” by the famous Italian architect Simone Micheli, which was located in a modern house in Lambrate at Via Ventura, 14. This year, the architect created four versions of hotel rooms. All bathroom installations were equipped with Grohe Rainshower SmartControl shower systems. Vice President of Design Grohe Michael Siem 14.Colombini Casa Colombini Casa presented the Brandina collection on Via Genova Giovanni Thaon di Revel, 21 Rsvp. The mind-blowing color combinations of the Renaissance era immediately catch the eye. Dark gray plus a combination of black with bright yellow, red and green. Or, for example, this range: shades of blue in contrast with purple, and again red and green. There is a range of blue with a soft yellow shade. In total, four bright color solutions are presented. The subject set of each composition includes a lamp, a chair and a carpet. 15.Nendo In Spazio Bigli, a whole panorama of marble furniture was presented: exclusively black and exclusively white. And that's not all. To break the cyclical rhythm of the columns and arches in the original classical plasticity of the room, the space was also divided by black and white graphics. The effect was enhanced by lighting based on the principle of "light and shadow". So the exhibition was called Light and Shadow. 16.Casamilano The new showroom for Casamilano is located in the historic centre of Milan, in Via Visconti di Modrone, 21 (corner of Via Borgogna), on the ground floor of a 1930 building, which perfectly reflects the company’s values: history and quality, time-tested. 17.Geoluxe Designer Naoto Fukasawa presents the uniqueness of Geoluxe through purity and precise design calculation. Geoluxe presents a material so durable that it is quite suitable for cladding swimming pools, kitchen countertops and bars. And the 2016 exhibition presented the brand's new stones: Eramo (analogous to natural stone from Canada) and Palizza (analogous to natural stone from Italy) in the form of large slabs measuring 140 x 320 centimeters and 20 millimeters thick. In addition, the latest sophisticated - Milanese - version can be presented in a thickness of 10 millimeters and a slab size of 60 x 120 centimeters, which is ideal for cladding walls and floor surfaces. 18.Lasvit Immediately after the grand event in the beautiful Palazzo Serbeloni, Lasvit representative Jan Semotam expressed his pride in the presentation of unique Czech crystal chandeliers. They served as the starting point for recreating the atmosphere of Napoleon's visit to Milan. A number of the latest original light collections from contemporary Czech talents were also presented! 19.GTV GmbH Brothers Thonet Vienna GmbH (GTV) made an installation in one of the most picturesque areas of the city — the Monastery of the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy, in the very center of Brera. The name of the exhibition perfectly emphasizes its content — Icons Reloaded. Also from GTV GmbH in Il Piccolo Architettura degli Interni was presented a very unusual composition of chairs called Rocking Mirroring. 20.B&B Italia To celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of B&B Italia, designer Naoto Fukasawa presents the Grande Papilio 50° armchair, complete with a comfortable footstool. The original seating composition is available in a choice of sheepskin, leather or fabric. 21.Minotti The Minotticucinemilano showroom in Via Larga, 4 introduces its guests to the new Anima kitchen concept. Designed by Alberto Minotti, it brings a new perspective on the relationship with food from the point of view of the design of the material itself. With the new minimalist collection, Alberto Minotti talks about the “childlike purity” of the perception of space and line, about the primordiality and, in a sense, eternity of materials such as wood and stone, which are used as the main materials. 22.Promemoria The Milan showroom Promemoria on Via Bagutta, 13 and Via Montenapoleone, 8 hosted the premiere of the new 2016 collection — Night Tales. The luxurious and inimitable furniture of the exhibition was intended to pay tribute to the most mysterious time of the day — night… The corresponding rich and saturated materials were used: leather, bronze, mahogany and ebony, velvet. Their elusive combination once again highlighted the unique style of Promemoria.
