Only it is necessary to hurry, after all it will work only three weeks in a year It is possible to dream only of that, to spend unforgettable evening in restaurant on lake. And when it says "on the lake", it means not the shore of the reservoir, namely the water surface, though frozen. But how such an institution appeared and who had the idea to create a restaurant that only works three weeks a year, while the surface of the water is covered with ice, we will now find out. 
The project was created by OS31 fordesign competition RAW. "Almond", and this is the name given to the restaurant, is located not quite on the lake, rather, very close, at the mouth of the Red River, which is not far from Winnipeg in Canada. Its opening will take place on January 22, 2015, during the annual winter festival, so there will definitely be no end of visitors. The chef and part-time owner of the establishment Mandel Hitzer has created a menu for every day, where there is not a single repetitive dish, and accordingly, the cost of such a pleasure starts at 150 euros. 
The appearance of the building is very much likea large snowdrift, which, according to the idea, should fit into the environment. X-shaped, the restaurant is divided into four wings: an entrance with a bar, two dining areas and a kitchen. The interior, as well as the outside, is dominated by white color, but warm fur chairs will certainly not let you freeze inside this frosty establishment.
