We often introduce our readers to overseasarchitectural solutions, so today I would like to present to your attention a project by Russian masters, implemented in the capital of our country, Moscow. The work of the design bureau, headed by its executive director Maxim Tikhonov, attracts attention with its compactness. The ordinary has been transformed: it has become a stylish studio apartment. Here, modern decor is skillfully mixed with the culture of the 60s. Having gotten rid of unnecessary partitions, old plank floors and plaster on the brick walls, this room was able to expand in space and shine in all its glory. The combination of modernity with retro is striking already at the entrance: a large antique mirror on the brick wall kindly invites us to enter the room, where an antique table with a designer chair adjoining it is installed. A small side table sends us back to the same era. The tiny kitchen and the dining table, decorated in the same style, included the minimum of convenience and functionality that a bachelor needs. Textiles, posters and other small trinkets add coziness to the interior. Replacing the bathtub with a shower stall allowed us to place in this tiny combined room not only a toilet with a sink, but also a washing machine. Even the balcony was not ignored by the M2 Project architects, who equipped it with a relaxation area with a folding table and chair.
