Ecological area - is it so? How to check the data and what determines the purity of air

Some of the most popular words today are ecology, ecology. This is not a tribute to fashion: the quality of the environment affects the value of your property. Today we give advice on how to find out about the environmental situation in Moscow and the region. Air quality in large cities - along with the transport issue, which are interconnected - is one of the main problems on which the health of residents of megacities and industrial centers depends. In recent years, the authorities have been doing a lot of work to improve the environmental situation. Today we will provide information on how to be aware of the environmental situation in Moscow. The employees of the State Budgetary Institution "MosEcoMonitoring" help to "paint" the real picture. How to check how successful the area is in terms of environmental parameters in which you decided to buy an apartment or house? In the event of a subsequent sale (and life is changeable), good ecology in your area will be an increasing coefficient to the value of the property.

What does air purity depend on?

Air pollution levelis determined by two factors: the volume of emissions from motor vehicles and industrial enterprises and meteorological conditions, which determine the intensity of the process of dispersion of pollutants in the air. With a constant value of pollutant emissions, depending on weather conditions, the level of air pollution can change several times.

What information does MosEcoMonitoring provide to Muscovites?

In residential areas and in the city centerThe following harmful substances are monitored: carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, ozone, hydrocarbons, methane, suspended particles with a size of less than 10 microns. In the immediate vicinity of highways, additional measurements are made for benzene, toluene, formaldehyde, metaxylene, paraxylene, ethylbenzene, phenol, styrene, naphthalene and meteorological parameters (to predict transfer). Temperature and atmospheric pressure are recorded at all points.

The EcoMonitoring service is provided in Moscow based on the results of air quality monitoring at the nearest air pollution monitoring station to the subscriber. The stations are located in all functional zones of the city, from clean, background areas of natural parks to city "pollution hotspots" - highways. To receive information on the environmental situation in the subscriber's location, send an SMS with the text "ECO" to 1945. The subscriber will receive the data he is interested in in the reply SMS.
