On September 14, a seminar on barrier-free spaces was held at the Hogarth

All those who came to the seminar learned how to create a barrier-free space in an apartment so that it is convenient for the owner from any group of the population. After all, it is most difficult for people with disabilities - the elderly and disabled, they need increased attention. The speakers approached this issue in different ways, which allowed them to cover it in as much detail as possible. The first to speak was a representative of the Hewi companyPavel Yakovenko, who spoke about the standards in Germany, which imply clear schemes and solutions for people with limited mobility. These include all kinds of seats or handrails for bathrooms, convenient door handles, shower curtains, and specialized toilets or sinks. Sergey Kozhevnikov, Technical Director of the Geberit representative office in Russia, showed modern solutions for bathrooms, including suspended plumbing, into which electronics are easily integrated. Alexander Tsaava (Duravit) and Dmitry Uraev(Hansgrohe) told about the products of their companies, which also meet all the requirements for ease of use and ergonomics - barrier-free access, dirt-repellent coating, handrails under the sink, convenient siphon, electronic bidet, shower trays with non-slip coating, remote control. Oventrop engineer Roman Zaitsevdemonstrated wireless room temperature control systems with a remote thermostat. And the lecture program was concluded by architect Anastasia Topoeva, who spoke about her latest project for a disabled athlete. It took into account such parameters as threshold-free openings with a passage width of 900 mm, a "smart home" system, raising and lowering wall shelves using an accessible lever, sofa unfolding with a remote control, LED lighting with a hundred colors that can be selected to suit the mood.
