Today, miniature studio apartments are popularvery popular. However, their small area is often an obstacle to the correct and functional organization of space. We invite visitors to the site about small interiors to familiarize themselves with the main techniques for the competent visual expansion of space in such rooms using a specific example.
The apartment has an area of only 33 square meters.meters and is located in the building of a former research institute, which has a corridor system for organizing the premises. Based on modern Western trends, the designer skillfully uses the typical features of the old building to create a unique interior of the apartment. The most suitable direction in it is the non-traditional loft style, emphasizing the industrial appearance and atmosphere of the building itself.
In the central spacious room all the items necessary for life are compactly arranged. Here the dining and kitchen areas were formed, as well as a comfortable sofa for relaxation.
Metal partition with facades made oftransparent glass acts as an original wall between the living room and the bedroom. This technique perfectly divides the space into functional zones, creating a separate, isolated sleeping area.
There is a blank wall installed at the head of the bed, separating the room from the hallway. The total area of the sleeping area is only slightly larger than the size of the bed. Only small corridors along the walls on both sides remain for passage.
The loft style is characterized by industrial motifs, brutal elements, rough textures, and the presence of open communication systems. In the example under consideration, the interior style is skillfully emphasized by the wall brickwork. The studio design uses classic red brick from the Soviet era. In combination with the partition, it fills the space with the spirit of constructivism characteristic of that era. The adjacent wall is covered with plasterboard. It has a smooth surface and a banal white color scheme. The wall at the head of the bed consists of processed wooden boards. Its brutal gray coloring perfectly complements the style of the room, which is far from traditional.
The original black slate runner conditionally divides the living room and kitchen areas. With its appearance and texture, it perfectly complements the unique atmosphere of the space.
One of the living room walls from floor to ceilingoccupies a kitchen set with built-in appliances. Its facade is made of teak wood, the warm tones of which slightly soften the harsh factory interior and create a cozy home atmosphere in the room.
