Talented craftsmen from the American architectural studio Point Architecture decided on such a bold experiment. They needed to bring to life a comfortable living space in a common room with three multifunctional zones. Unusual decorating ideas, rational planning and many years of experience allowed them to achieve an incredible result. In a single space, they received an independent dining area, a living room and a bedroom.
So let's see what the conceptualThe idea was developed by the designers of the workshop for a family living in the cultural center of northern Italy - Turin. They used a large area of the room to organize a living room with a cozy snow-white sofa for guests in the shape of the letter G, and the bedroom and dining hall acted as auxiliary areas. When decorating the interior of such a combination of functional areas, this is the most effective option. A significant advantage of this apartment was two wide panoramic window openings. They clearly delimit the space and at the same time preserve a refined aesthetic community. The same can be said about the ceiling with wooden beams. They entered the interior of the house extremely naturally and casually.
Wood brings a feeling of comfort, warmth,well-being and constancy. In addition, the only huge baluster clearly divides the volume of the room into separate areas. By the way, another advantage of such decor is the fact that wood perfectly captures sound waves and saves heat. Partitions became an original solution for zoning the apartment into parts. A solid and monumental one was allocated for placing a television display. It is continued by a glass fence, which does not form bulkiness, and also optically increases the area. The architectural technique allows to give a sense of unity, and the stove fireplace fills the atmosphere with goodwill, comfort and family warmth.
A unique solution is the use of a podiumelevations. This is a strong and effective way of dividing the territory, which gives many advantages for the implementation of the idea of "three in one". Firstly, the living room rises and is in the center of everyone's attention, and also creates a feeling of volume and spaciousness. Secondly, it was possible to successfully disguise the bed by using a pull-out drawer. Initially, it seems that this is an ordinary reverse side of the fence. But it easily transforms into a comfortable bed. The podium is a wonderful place for storing things and an ideal way to plan modest and small apartments.
The rounded tabletop in the dining area gavethe ability to rationally design the furniture layout and place many chairs. One wall surface was allocated for the installation of the rack, which effectively decorated the interior. Multiple niches allow you to place not only books and magazines on them, but also other accessories and delightful decorative items. A significant advantage in the interior of this home was the luxurious and sophisticated color palette. This is an excellent option that creates a representative and imposing appearance. The burgundy tone is used to fill the house with colorful accents and is balanced by the soothing snow-white base color. Elements of elegance are added by dark chocolate tones of natural wood.
