Interior of a studio apartment

Multi-purpose furniture in the interior of a studio apartment

Built-in multi-purpose furniture is idealSolution for studio apartments Multipurpose furniture coupled with a carefully planned, thoughtful interior design will make the space of a studio or other small home work for you and bring maximum benefit. In the case of the tiny Sydney apartment, which our article tells about, the designers were able to solve most of the problems associated with the lack of square meters by constructing a functional partition. You will say that this is a closet, and you will be right, but is it just a closet in front of us? Let's try to figure it out. To the specialists of the Catseye Bay design bureauhad the opportunity to design the interior of a 36 m2 studio. They were faced with the task of separating the dining room and living room from the kitchen and bedroom. To achieve this, the company's director Sarah Jamieson created a multifunctional piece of furniture that is a partition, wardrobe, shelving unit and bed frame all at once. The kitchen unit, similar to a compact island with a dining area and built-in shelves, is made in the same style. Both are made of birch plywood. In order to transform the sleeping area intoTo create a private (yet efficient) space, Jamison designed a complex structure that stands approximately two metres tall. One section houses the bed frame and the other a three-section wardrobe with shelves. The unit is positioned diagonally to the wall adjacent to it, which, along with the original rounding of the opposite end, creates a cozy corner in which the residents can feel comfortable and relaxed. The kitchen unit supports the same concept, being an L-shaped shelving unit with a countertop that forms a dining area. The rounded contours that characterize both structures can be seen as a nod to the Art Deco style in which the house’s façade is designed. We invite you to take a virtual walk through this bright apartment with us. What did you like the most? Which design decision did you find less than successful?
