What task did the client give you during the first conversation?
Like an artist on a blank piece of paperpaints a work of art, we were given the task of decorating a white sheet of flat. Adding colour, details, giving it character. But at the same time working subtly and delicately, decorating two main rooms. The kitchen had to take on the role of a multifunctional room. In the end, there was a bar counter, a place to relax and a study. The bedroom was expected to feel peaceful and light.
Was it necessary to do redevelopment?
No, it was necessary to act within the existing space. It seemed interesting.
Apparently, you managed to move mountains. What is done in the end?
1. We started with the basics – with color.We chose a natural palette, prioritizing several shades. We paid special attention to the tiled backsplash and a fragment of the wall near the dining table. 2. A decorator should be able to give a home a unique character. This is very important. But the main thing is not to overdo it, to set the right direction. Preference was given to tiles. It feels like they were hand-painted. Each has a unique pattern. The variety of colors added a certain ethnic note to the modern interior. 3. Using only natural materials allowed us to create a light and lively atmosphere. Wood, cotton, silk, leather, linen, nickel - all this creates the effect of high cost and nobility. 4. The furniture was made to order. We played a little with texture and color and handed over the finished drawings and sketches to the performers. This includes a comfortable sofa that uses every centimeter of space in the corner, a cabinet and a modest table on wheels. 5. The added elements set the main tone. Sea shell handles, airy, perfectly white curtains that flutter smoothly even with the slightest breeze.
How did the host react when he saw the result?
He was incredibly happy with the result. Just think, the already familiar house looks completely different. We hope he will be happy here.
