Employees of the company, headed by the famousby Brazilian architect Leandro Garcia, developed under the name Água Verde. The design was commissioned by a former ballerina who purchased this modest apartment of only 30 square meters in Curitiba. The performers were given a taskexpanding the boundaries of the public area so that the guests of the apartment feel comfortable and can move around freely. For obvious reasons, the designers had to calculate the placement of each interior element three times in an attempt to achieve the optimal result. The living room and dining room share a single space. The original Camelo table from Ovo helps to avoid the inconveniences associated with this. The special feature of the Camelo design is the presence of height-adjustable legs, which allow it to be used as a dining or coffee table, depending on the situation. The kitchen furnishings include only the working area.surface and several cabinets placed in a niche of the wall opposite the bedroom. On the right is a door leading to the bathroom and laundry room. The apron above the kitchen countertop is a darkened mirror, which creates the illusion of additional volume. A striped carpet and compact furniture – a sofa without armrests, shallow bookshelves and elegant chairs from the dining group – also help to visually increase the dimensions of the apartment. The bedroom door is equipped with a sliding mechanism. When open, it hides behind the back wall of a tall shelving unit that takes up almost the entire perimeter of the room. In addition to the bed, the almost Spartan bedroom set includes an ultra-modern floor lamp and a low stool that functions as a night table. The interior as a whole feels very cozy and welcoming. This impression is created by the use of a contrasting color palette with the inclusion of bright accents. Photos: Fran Parente.
