Interior of a two-room apartment

Stockholm interior design of a small apartment

Interior design of a small apartment Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, - one of the fastest growing cities in Europe, also known as the capital of Scandinavia. Jonas Wagell is an architect and the happy owner of a tiny 36 square meter apartment, which for many of us will be too small. A few years ago, when Jonas was studying interior, architecture and furniture design at the Konstfack Institute, he chose this apartment as a summer project. The building was built in 1937 and has not been renovated since the 1980s. The interior design of the small apartment was boring, it lacked individuality and taste.Jonas, who did most of the workindependently, included in the project the demolition of some walls, doors and a separate toilet room. In this way, the designer created additional space. Dark-colored herringbone floors add expansiveness and character to the room. A sleeping niche several steps deepseparated from the adjacent living area, the main one in the apartment. Lighting is built into the walls and ceiling, which creates only a pleasant glow late at night, absolutely not irritating the eyes. The furnishings are simple and functional.A few chairs and an open box create the illusion of space. The kitchen is small, but quite convenient for an amateur chef. Jonas Wagell managed to embody the idea of creating something impressive using only a minimum of means. However, the designer did it with taste, elegance and, of course, love. Did you like the apartment? Save it to your social media page!
