The renovated Moscow skating rink has been expanded byseveral thousand meters thanks to the efforts of the architectural studio Ai-architects. After its opening, it was recognized as the largest in the world! The reconstruction of the All-Russian Exhibition Center has come to an end, so it's time for victories. The World Records Academy recognized the updated skating rink at VDNKh as the largest in the world. Its area is more than 20 thousand square meters, and together with all the infrastructure - about 100,000. The design of the space, where almost 5,000 people can skate at the same time, was done by specialists from the architectural studio Ai-architects. The studio used the idea in the decor of the spacedominance of the north. The site features arctic landscapes in which animals typical of this region hide, but the most interesting structure is the wooden bridge. It is about a hundred meters long, and its functionality suggests its use not only as an art object, but also as an observation deck and a link between the pavilions. The bridge was built during the pouring of the skating rink, in just two weeks. The architects also worked on the exteriorillumination that covers the facades of buildings, fences, the aforementioned pedestrian bridge and even the ice from the inside. The total area of the ice illumination is 5,000 square meters. It is formed by 100,000 LED modules reproducing 16,000,000 shades of light.
