Small apartments

Design project of a small apartment in the Scandinavian style

Small Living Space Design –it is always painstaking work. Unlike a spacious house, where the designer's fantasy has enough space to implement all the bold ideas, it is much more difficult to design the interior of a small apartment correctly. Moreover, it is difficult not only to implement the design, but also to correctly formulate the whole meaning and essence of a compact abode, equip it with a sufficient level of functionality. We invite you to evaluate the project of a modern home with an area of 39 sq. m, where a unique atmosphere, clean and fresh, was created with the help of professionalism and non-standard solutions. The layout itself is quite inconvenient, the non-standard scheme became the first difficulty, because rationally distributing all the zones in such conditions is a difficult task. The creativity of the developers allowed us to look at the existing structure from a completely different angle, to consider all the potential and advantages that were planned to be realized. There is a small room just behind the front door.the hallway, and then the viewer is greeted by the amazing world of purity and lightness of the Scandinavian style direction with its inherent dominant white color in the interior. The main background has become an ideal canvas on which the rest of the design looks expressive and impressive. It is also chosen so that the space does not seem so limited, since it perfectly reflects light, thereby visually expanding the existing boundaries. In the foreground is the kitchen, smoothly flowing into other social areas.A small living room is located near the outerwalls and just a few steps away there is an exit to the balcony. This area is designated by an elegant sofa of a rich brown shade, accessories on it, presented by pillows with an original print. In the center on the floor there is an unusual rug with an ethnic pattern. Also in the scheme there is other interesting furniture: a coffee table, an armchair and a console. Adhering to the framework of the style direction, there is a minimum of decor, and what is there is restrained and unobtrusive. Plants fit correctly and neatly into the overall picture. The landscaping of the interior is lush decorative trees, flowerpots with luxurious leaves. In addition to them, decorations in the form of dry branches with several leaves, standing in vases, are demonstrated quite gallantly and unusually. They symbolize the autumn season and the changeability of the seasons. The kitchen and dining room are simple in their design,The main condition that was followed during the development of the project was maximum functionality, ergonomic use of every centimeter. Snow-white surfaces are harmoniously combined with wooden flooring, chairs made of similar material. This combination looks organically together and is ideal for compact apartments. As for lighting, in this projectall the devices are reduced to a minimum and are presented by only a few pieces. Thanks to the light walls, it is not at all gloomy here, but on the contrary, light and fresh. They are presented by original sconces and built-in lamps, there is also built-in lighting above the kitchen surfaces. A kind of improvised corridor leads to the bedroom, which hides several additional boxes, one of them is a system for storing things, the second is a compact bathroom, consisting only of the necessary elements. Instead of a traditional bath, a shower is installed, saving space for other plumbing.Partially separate the bedroom from the rest of the spaceseparated by a wall, and the other, open part is a glass partition. The small room does not contain anything superfluous, only a large bed and an elegant wooden chair. The windows are decorated with light curtains of the same shade as the rest of the interior. The whole design as such is light and calm, without intrusive and flashy details. Compact apartment in Stockholm isan expressive example of the fact that designer fantasy should not be limited by narrow frames. Thanks to the Scandinavian style of interior design, its respectful attitude to nature, natural materials and light shades, the space is cozy and fresh. The simplicity and conciseness of the image, the minimum of unnecessary details leave a lot of space for a comfortable and functional life.
