Houseboat for unity with nature Bicyclesare beautiful on their own, but you can also attach interesting accessories to them, such as a sauna, a cabin camper or even a houseboat. This floating trailer, designed by Daniel Durnin, from the Royal College of Art, offers a lot of pleasant surprises: it’s light, small and yes, it floats. The project, humorously named “Bedon the water", was posted on the Inhabitat website. According to the idea, it was supposed to be something like a tent or an awning. The tiny space is intended for one or two people. You can sit and lie inside, there is a small table at which you can drink tea or cut sandwiches. Based on traditional technologiesboat building, Durnin designed his floating bed for the many rivers and lakes in and around London. After a tiring day of cycling, instead of pitching a tent on the ground, you can simply launch the trailer into the water and relax. The walls are made of canvas, and some of them can be rolled up to let in some fresh air.The idea was to reuniteman with nature, to become part of the landscape. “I hope that my project will awaken in people the desire to be in harmony with nature, to bring balance to urban spaces, not only in London but all over the world.” What could be better than a tiny camper trailer? One that can move both on land and on water. A wonderful thing for those who seek privacy, preferring a bicycle as a means of transportation.
