Khrushchevka is a small apartment thatcharacterized by a low ceiling and, as a rule, an inconvenient layout of the rooms. But, thanks to the development of modern technologies and a variety of materials, it has become possible to develop a design so that the room is convenient and comfortable. The main thing is to follow the basic rules for changing a small space when decorating the interior.
To save space in a Khrushchev-era apartment, it is better to mount the TV on the wall.

The main problem in a Khrushchev-era building is smallarea. There is a catastrophic lack of space. If we talk about interior styles for a living room in a Khrushchev-era building, then there are some restrictions. In small rooms, it is inappropriate to use styles that are characterized by the use of a large number of details and bright colors. These details will work to reduce the space. Decor for the interior of the living room
When decorating the interior of a smallapartment, you need to follow some rules. You should not fill the space with a large number of small and bright decorative items. Visually, this will fragment the room and make it even smaller. The use of large objects is also unacceptable. They will distract attention from the overall interior, drawing it to themselves. You should stop at 2-3 items made in the same color scheme. This can be several sofa cushions, a vase on the table or a picture on the wall. Do not overload open shelves and bookcases with small items. Book-sized items in the same color scheme will look more interesting. There should be no heavy or dark curtains on the windows. Preference should be given to light, light fabrics that match the wall decoration. Only transparent curtains can be used. If the design of the room was developed in an oriental style, then Japanese panel curtains or vertical blinds will become a real decoration not only for the window, but for the entire room. Recently, multi-level plasterboard ceiling structures have become increasingly popular. However, such decor cannot be used in the design of a small living room, as it will seem too massive and “heavy” for a low ceiling. It is better to choose shiny surfaces or small mirror patterns.
