New: technology "Formula 1" for sanitary engineering

1

Splinter Works was founded in 2009designers Miles Hartwell (Miles Hartwell) and Matt Wittington (Matt Withington). That's what they say about their work: "We strive to create interesting and inspiring furniture sculptures, we are striving to enrich the lives of people who purchase our furniture. Our goal is to create objects that are aesthetically attractive, thoughtful and pleasant to use, and also provide food for thought. " Not so long ago, the company presented its clients to the courtyour carbon fiber hammock bathtub. The structure is attached to the walls with stainless steel brackets and appears to float above the floor. The bathtub is 2.7m long, sloped and shaped with ergonomics in mind, and has plenty of room to truly unwind. The bath is filled through the floor tap, drainedthe same water through the drain in the floor. Layers of carbon fiber (which, by the way, are very pleasant to the touch) are wrapped around the foam core of the structure and create a kind of pillow, so that the water in the bathtub stays hot for a long time. Carbon fiber is very light (the tub weighs only 14 kg) yet incredibly strong. After the success of the hammock bath, many of its details wererefined and used in new models - the company Splinter Works was able to expand its collection of bathtubs and sinks. They attract attention with their exquisite broken lines and deep black color. It is interesting that in the manufacture of bathtubs and sinks, the same technologies are used that are also used in the production of Formula-1 cars. photos: stephane rocher photography, splinterworks.co.uk
