Selection of films # 23: cinema with beautiful interiors

Over the past twenty issues of our regular column aboutWe have recommended a huge number of interesting films about interiors in cinema. But this percentage is a thousandth of the total number of products in world cinema. What to watch this week? Moscow has already celebrated City Day, and Paris Design Week has ended, but cinema still continues to delight with its versatility, thanks to which entire worlds open up. Watching a couple of good films is a pleasant and useful pastime, and our advice will be more than useful here. And the previous selection can be found . Bridget Jones's Diary (2001-2016) This week, the third part of the adventures of one of the most famous and beloved heroines in Britain is released. What does a woman need when she is already over 30? Career, apartment and love. Especially the latter. Bridget is moving in this direction, and in order not to forget anything, she keeps a diary in which she describes her adventures and victories in detail. The third film received very high marks from critics abroad, and in our country it will be released only on Thursday. Let's evaluate! Dedicated (2014) Decorations in the spirit ofretrofuturism of the 60s and the concept of an ideal civilized society. Intriguing? This is exactly the kind of utopia that the director paints for us in the film "The Initiate", because in this world there are no wars, violence, diseases. But there is no joy or pleasant memories, which puts the designated utopia in a completely different light. This is what the young man begins to understand, through whose eyes we make discoveries about the "real" world. White House Down (2013) Do you dream of visitingThe White House? Roland Emmerich's film satisfies this desire in full, since the action, as the title suggests, takes place there and only there. The plot is simple: the main building of the United States is suddenly attacked by terrorists, the president is in danger, and only one hero can save everyone - Channing Tatum, who just happens to be there. What's interesting: filming in the White House, of course, is impossible, so it had to be built in studios and on computers along with several adjacent streets, and the interiors had to be designed as authentically as possible. The Chronicles of Narnia (2005–2010)To mark the 55th anniversary of C.S. Lewis' novel The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the fantasy film The Chronicles of Narnia was released. A magical land with fairy-tale creatures, located inside an ordinary wardrobe, is an ode to children's imagination, drawing fantastic worlds and adventures in them. The film is also replete with references to many other works, but also builds its own universe, which is pleasant to look at. And the medieval atmosphere - an abundance of stone, large halls divided by massive columns, a glass ceiling - together with talking animals and centaurs enhances the immersion effect a hundredfold. Hugo (2011) Five Oscars,Director Martin Scorsese, many famous actors and a very pleasant audiovisual effect - all this is "Hugo", or, as the film was called here, "The Hugo". An excellent adventure film for the whole family. And it is impossible to tear your eyes away from the scenery - it is so impressive. Soldiers (1998) Another family film, fromwhich will also delight children, especially boys. After all, they all love to play with soldiers. So what will happen if the soldiers suddenly come to life and start fighting each other? Evil paratroopers and good monsters will clash so hard that even people living in this neighborhood will get it. At the same time, the opposing sides will actively use all the attributes of everyday life, from tools to technical accessories. Four-handed game (1980) And if fantasy— not for you at all and liked the last issue for the selection of French comedies it presented, here's another one. The incomparable and charming Jean-Paul Belmondo plays a swindler and con man in this 1980 film who cheerfully and gracefully deceives rich people. Starting with the image of an Indian prince, the hero decided to blackmail a German duke, when suddenly the secret services intervened, investigating a case of industrial espionage. Lots of views and interiors of Venice — for those who were bored!
