1

Imagine a building in the form cut intoThe ground of the glass cube, and even in the middle of the snow-capped mountains, no? Then you just have to get acquainted with the incredible design of the hostel from the architectural firm Atelier 8000. Designers from Atelier 8000 created this fascinating project for the architectural competition Kežmarská Hut. They tried to make the building fit naturally into the surrounding mountain environment and perfectly harmonize among the sharp snow-covered rocks. Due to its position in the landscape, this glass cube is like an unstable snowy block, which seemed due to the receding glacier. Each of the sides of this hostel is aSquare grid, consisting of aluminum panels, the mass of windows and solar panels. And the latter are installed in such a way as to maximize the generation of as much solar energy as possible, while minimizing carbon emissions. And the most surprising thing is that none of the facades does not stand at a right angle to the ground. The interior is traditionally presentedWarm and cozy wooden decoration. And let it be just a project on paper, but there is absolutely no doubt that when it comes to life, there will be no release from visitors. After all, there are a lot of people who are ready to appreciate the snow-covered landscapes and visit such a unique complex in the picturesque Slovak Carpathians. dezeen.com
