On average, each family member needs three personaltowels. Plus spare ones. And guest ones. And we all love them to be big, voluminous, fluffy. Where to find a place for all this stuff in a tiny bathroom? It turns out that it’s not that difficult: read the tips in our article A towel is an absolutely irreplaceable item in the bathroom interior, and it’s never limited to just one. So, if there are three people in the family, you’ll need nine towels, not to mention separate ones, in case of an unplanned visit from a guest. It seems that there’s not enough space in any bathroom for such a stack. But we’ll try to think outside the box. 1. Hooks on the wall Let’s start with the obvious: hooks. Terry cloth dries much faster this way. To fit more towels, provide several rows with hooks in a checkerboard pattern.2.Under the Sink To make the most of every square inch in your bathroom, store extra towels rolled up. Find one, for example. There are plenty of options: a basket, a drawer, a shelf, even a simple newspaper rack — rolls are compact and easy to get out.3.Wine Organizer Despite the convenience of storing towels rolled up, they dry much more slowly this way. And the more of them in one container or basket, the longer you will have to wait. An alternative is to rethink the usual organizer for wine bottles. Now each roll is well ventilated in a separate cell, and the whole structure looks very impressive. Tip: manufacturers advise washing towels after 5-7 uses, although in reality few people adhere to such a frequency. In any case, the most obvious sign that it is time to do the laundry is the damp smell of the fabric. 4. Towel rack Here you can store towels unfolded. Usually, such floor racks take up very little space. And they can hold, depending on the design, 3-5 towels.5.Stepladder The idea is the same as the ready-made towel rack. But firstly, the vertical space from the floor to the ceiling is used, secondly, you can use an old stepladder, it is worth tidying it up a little and covering it with a water-repellent composition. Thirdly, the structure looks original, like in a picture in a fashion magazine.6.A rod on the bathtub or sink You can install a rod for towels along the bathtub. This way, they will always be at hand when you need to get out of the foam. Another logical place is under the sink. Tip: if you are choosing between hooks and a rod, think about whether you are ready to always unfold the towel in order to hang it neatly on the rod and straighten it out? And your family? 7.Shelf under the ceiling Such shelves are convenient to install where splashes hardly reach - above the door, for example. Very often, additional hooks and easy access of air to the fabric are provided here. And even heating - then we will call this design a heated towel rail.8.Hanging containers If you choose a container, the most practical ones are wire mesh baskets. First of all, because of the notorious air access. They can be hung from the ceiling or on the wall. And the contents are easily visible from all sides.9.On the countertop This is how small hand towels are stored in luxury restaurants, spas and hotels - rolled up on a large plate next to the sink. Put a few rolls - used towels can be thrown into the basket under the sink, and in the evening they can be rolled up again or sent to the wash. A good option for receiving guests, they will not even have the traditional question - "what can I dry my hands with?" Everything is completely obvious. Advice: wash towels at a temperature of at least 40 degrees, and to soften the fabric, add special conditioners or folk remedies: salt and citric acid.10.Unusual ways Think about it, and you will find many more functional and original ones, even if there is very little space in the bathroom. Why not use an antique scale with a hanging bowl? Why not throw a cloth casually over a statue? Why not organize the storage of packages in the cells of a mailbox? Do not be afraid to think outside the box and show your personality even in such a seemingly simple matter - this is the key to interior design that is comfortable for living and pleasing to the eye.
