Kitchen before renovation
The problems with the old kitchen were obvious:The irrational use of space in the 10-meter kitchen did not allow for a refrigerator to be placed here — there was room for it only in the hallway. A bulky sofa and an old table took up almost the entire room. In addition, a large air duct stole the useful space. The walls, floor and ceiling had long since become dilapidated, and the furniture was falling apart. Kitchen after renovation
Artur Yagubyants based his design solution onstraight lines and contrasting shades, softened by a light blue tonality. This allowed to visually expand and brighten the space. In order to zone the kitchen space, parquet of two colors was laid on the floor: in the work area - dark coffee color, in the dining area - light milky. In the center of the kitchen, the planks are laid at an angle of 90 degrees, giving the interior additional geometry. The walls were primed, covered with wallpaper for painting and applied a soft turquoise shade near the window and in the dining area. The remaining walls are white. This allowed to make the interior light and airy. The ceiling is suspended, with overhead lights.
The door leaf in the kitchen is white, butThe door frames are dark, they emphasize the graphic nature of the interior. For the same purpose, the kitchen set was chosen white, and the sink is contrasting black. The original monolithic dining table made of white artificial stone also matches the overall concept. The kitchen apron is a fresco with an abstract marine-themed pattern under tempered glass. The glare creates the impression that there are real sea waves on the wall.
The project also contains constructive elementschanges. For example, Artur Yagubyants increased the ventilation box, building it up with plasterboard and making niches with lighting. The chosen color and original elements transform the once bulky box into an original weightless structure. The same elements are present in the dining area. The highlight of the interior was an unusual air-bubble panel, creating a relaxing mood in the room. It can, if necessary, change the colors of the backlight and their intensity - there would be a reason.
