Beer Minimalism: The Bar an Architect Made for Himself – etk-fashion.com

Private interiors and public spaces inLoft style and minimalism are no longer surprising. And what about bars? Architect Valery Lizunov had similar thoughts and created such an establishment purely for himself. Craft bars are now enjoying great popularity - their number in Moscow is increasing every year. Against the backdrop of such competition, owners have to attract visitors in different ways - with new varieties, delicious snacks, a variety of entertainment, and so on. So the new craft bar on Pyatnitskaya Street beckons with its interiors designed by architect Valery Lizunov. Valery Lizunov, Archpoint Designer, architect and head of the Archpoint bureau, which is engaged in the creation and design of fine dining restaurants, shops, hotels, golf clubs and country houses. In almost 20 years of existence, the company has implemented more than 150 large and unique projects, including abroad.Valery, having a lot of experience under his belt, decided to create his own craft bar, designing it especially for himself and his friends. The new establishment, called Parka, is located in the very center of Moscow, occupying premises on the first floor and in the basement of the old Zamoskvoretsky house. Here two styles are combined - loft andScandinavian minimalism. Therefore, the decoration uses a lot of light wood (ash), birch plywood, brick and concrete. Salt brick was used for the design of the bar counters. You can sit or stand as at the counter on almost all wooden surfaces, including the stairs to the basement. Large floor-to-ceiling display cases make the bar part of a busy street. Behind the bar counter there is a large board, like at an airport, looking at which you can immediately see the prices and place an order. The first floor resembles a steam room(hence the name Parka). When creating the interior and concept, the architects — Valery Lizunov, Ekaterina Ageeva and Liliya Berganova — made it look like a bathhouse. As a result, the space turned out to be modern and minimalistic, reminiscent of a sauna rather than a traditional Russian steam room. The lower halls are located in the basement. The first one has a bar counter and a kitchen, the second one is more spacious, where the traditional seating is preserved: tables, chairs, a bench by the wall. The material for it was the logs that used to be located between the first and second floors. Some tables are an additional source of lighting due to the base, it is filled with illuminated salt bricks. The architects preserved the ancient ones in the lower hallsbrick vaults. And also created a kinesthetic sensation of a steam room: through the smells of soaked brooms, the taste of draft beer, the touch of steam, which is sometimes released by a smoke machine. The furniture is made according to Archpoint's drawings,Leather armchairs from Jess and hop-shaped lamps from Akteka were also used. Large TV screens broadcasting sports competitions hang in each of the three rooms. Such a bar will be cozy for both a large friendly company and a couple of people gathered to talk.
