It is quite possible to cash doors with your own handswhen following the instructions. Installing the casing is a task that must be completed after the main structure has been installed. It will have to be done even if you don't want to, since the casing serves not only to give the frame a finished look, but also to protect the door frame and the adjacent wall.

Clypeus functions and how to make them yourself
Many people mistakenly believe that the main thingthe purpose of these parts is to give the doors a finished look. But this is only partly correct. The casing is a multifunctional system, and it serves to perform the following tasks:
- if it is not installed, then dust will enter the room through the cracks in the door frame;
- if the platbands are installed on the interior doors, then they increase the soundproof characteristics of their construction.
To make the casings yourself, you will need tools and wooden boards, slats. The exact list of everything you need is given below. The work is done as follows:

Measure the doors. The main size is its opening. The width of the door frames can be any, but they must allow the doors to open.
From the boards, cut out according to the obtained dimensions 2long and one short casing. Their corners can be immediately cut at 45º, so that in the middle part there are tenons in the short part, and in the other two - grooves. If you need to speed up the work, then you can not do this. In this case, the frame is assembled end-to-end, without fasteners, on nails alone.
The surface of the parts must be treated with a plane,so that they are smooth, and when finished, they should be sanded with sandpaper. If the boards are thick enough, then you can use the chisels to make longitudinal cuts on them. This will give the doors a finished look.

Cashing: how to install it on the door yourself
The work begins with dismantling the old door frames.using a strong screwdriver or crowbar and removing old nails with pliers or a nail puller. Then the so-called extension strip is checked; it may be necessary to install a new part. To do this, you need to inspect the element from all sides and determine the method by which the strip is secured. If you need to purchase a new part, it is best to choose a factory-made element, since this guarantees high-quality edges and a good appearance of the strip. In this case, you need to pay attention to the unevenness of the walls. If there are any, it is recommended to take precise measurements of the largest protrusions on the doors. This will avoid the formation of gaps. The next stage of work is the installation of the extension strip, which is carried out as follows:
Installation of door frames for interior doors.
A tape measure or a metal ruler is measuredthe width that is required to mount this part, and the length from the edge of the walls to the grooves in which the bar is to be inserted. In this case, it must be taken into account that this element of the door structure is overlapped.
To reduce possible inaccuracies to the measured width, add 20-30 mm.
The new device must always be installed before securing the clypees on the door frame.
New additional parts are being assembled from vertical rails.
After that, a horizontal bar is set to the very top. If the part has dimensions larger than the required values, then the excess parts must be cut with a saw.
All the dowels are attached using long screws to the door frame.
When they are already installed in their places, they are strengthened among themselves.

How to put the platbands yourself
Further operations are performed in the following order:
All parts that need to be installed are cut offjigsaw at an angle of 45º. To do this, you can use the trim to mark the cutting line. At installation there are no special rules: it can be started with both a long and a short clypeus.
Perform work on marking the details: on all draw a clear cut line, this can be done with a colored marker. The length of the clypeus should be a segment from the bottom edge of the fence, which is installed at the top of the door frame, to the floor of the room. (Figure 1) To eliminate errors, add 5 mm to the measured value. After this, they begin cutting the clypeus along the marked lines.
When fixing the parts on the frame and the walls, you need to bite off the nails from the nails. This is important for the appearance of the installed structure. They will not be visible after the completion of the work.
When installing the clypeus on the topproceed as follows: cut one corner at 45º, then install on the top of the structure and mark the angle, or rather, its top, on the second side. After that, the part is cut at the mark and inserted into place.
If the grooves are not partially seized, then such places are recommended to be filled with sealant.
All the above operations are repeated from the second side of the doorway.
