In Orleans was inaugurated an amazingBuilding - The Turbulences pavilion of the Regional Center for Contemporary Art FRAC Center In Orleans, an amazing building was opened - the pavilion The Turbulences of the Regional Center for Contemporary Arts FRAC Center. The authors of the project are architects from the bureau Jakob + Macfarlane. For the idea the guys took the concept of constant movement, turbulence. With the help of parametric tools they created several curved cylinders, which became the basis of the design. 
This center is located near the former militaryWarehouses. The Bureau won in 2008 the competition for the best project of reconstruction and expansion of the territory. The building that used to be in this place was demolished, and instead of it there appeared not only functional premises, but also an information gallery, a new office block, archive, exhibition halls and meeting rooms. 
The most interesting architectural invention -The inner pavilion The Turbulences, which is very much like the landscape of a mysterious planet. Its lower part is made of durable concrete, and the top is made of a tubular metal structure lined with aluminum panels with perforation and LED lighting. The system turns on automatically after the built-in sensors fix changes in the level of natural light. Media facades are developed by the Electronic Shadow bureau. Implementation of the project cost 8.5 million euros.
