How to quickly and inexpensively convert a rented apartment

In the fall, many people traditionally change their rentalhousing. And everyone wants to make it more comfortable. Today we will tell you why you should frame wallpaper with a baguette, how to refresh the interior with a carpet and what bed linen to choose for a rented apartment. Perhaps, each of us has lived in rented housing at least for some time. And the strongest feeling that we experience in such cases is the lack of coziness and the discomfort of being in someone else's house. Today we will try to give the most inexpensive and simple ways to transform and arrange rented housing. In each case, its own rules apply: somewhere you can stick new wallpaper, and somewhere it is impermissible to even hammer a nail, so we will try to consider a variety of options.

1. Wallpaper

This option is, of course, not for everyone. However, even if you are not allowed to re-wallpaper any of the rooms, you can always make a panel or hang pieces of wallpaper with a pattern you like in narrow frames, for example, on both sides of the bed, closet or mirror in the hallway.

2. Fittings

Another striking technique that is only possible withconsent of the property owner. However, if such consent is obtained, with the help of correctly selected fittings it is possible to transform not only the furniture, but also the doors in all rooms, taking another step towards stylistic unity.

3. Textiles

It's not just curtains and pillows.Textile panels and partitions can simultaneously transform and zone the space. But pillows and curtains should not be underestimated. By choosing several pieces of fabric you like, you have every chance to literally “dress” the apartment in your own irresistible style in just one day. True, in this case you will also need a sewing machine.

4. Vinyl

Vinyl stickers do not leave marks onwallpaper, have an endless variety of designs and, thanks to online stores, are available almost anywhere in the world. Are you not inspired by birds, butterflies and black and white sunsets? Find a graphic option consisting of stripes, circles or squares - with their help you can emphasize the geometric and monochrome interior, as well as highlight certain details.

5. Carpet

A very powerful decorative technique.A cold grey interior can be painted in a second with a new texture and shades. The carpet can be matched with art objects, decorative elements, textiles or simply used as a bright spot.

6. Light

Properly placed light can be usedto implement a variety of scenarios. If buying new lamps does not fit into your budget, limit yourself to candles. A romantic dinner, bath procedures or just an “atmospheric” evening - candles will help transform any event.

7. Place for notes

Blackboard paint is not only suitable foron the wall or the refrigerator door, but also on any smooth surface. You can take a simple piece of plasterboard, paint it and lean it against the wall like a large mirror - and voila - a bright, functional decorative element is ready!

8. Plants

This is another very flexible decorative element, which can be moved from room to room, and also easily transformed when the style of the environment changes. At the same time, flowers do not necessarily have to be replanted into new pots each time. It is enough to put a flower in a zinc bucket, for example, and support a loft, eclectic, industrial or Scandinavian interior. Are you more inclined to pop art? Feel free to paint the bucket in a bright shade.

9. Bed linen

Even a completely senseless pile of furniture in the bedroom can be "put together" with bed linen with the right pattern. But first you'll have to run around the shops.midddesign.com, babble.com, ecoempire.org, trendhunter.com, nicolemaree.com, modaparahomens.com, bungalux.com, pinterous.com
