The next edition will take place in Milan from April 12 to 17Furniture design extravaganza — Salone del Mobile. Milano. Year after year, unique interior expositions are offered to the attention of guests and creators at the same time: architects, designers, decorators and manufacturers. And for Roomble readers, a preview of the collections of the most anticipated architectural and design event Salone del Mobile is already opening today. Milano is the largest furniture salon in Europe and the world. The very first exhibition of the project dates back to 1961, when the main goal was to promote the export of products from Italian manufacturing companies. Today, the success of the event, which had 310,840 visitors from all over the world in 2015, confirms the exclusivity of the products presented. In addition to new furniture, the following areas will traditionally be presented within the framework of the exhibition and Milan Design Week 2016:
- Salone Internazionale del Complemento d’Arredo is an exhibition of interior accessories;
- SaloneSatellite is an exhibition of subject innovations;
- Eurocucina is a kitchen furniture exhibition;
- Salone Internazionale del Bagno is an exhibition of bathroom furniture.
The main exhibition hall is called FieraMilan, with an area of approximately 230,000 square meters… In the meantime, we invite you to a virtual space of new trends and a unique exchange of experiences.
The designers of the Boca do Lobo brand are inspired bythe legend of Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest. The power of a noble age, multiplied by innovative materials of the highest quality, gives us a new interpretation of the image of the "archer" of our time. The Robin mirror - a "fish eye" in brass arrows, the Glance mirror with veins, the Empire dining and coffee tables with gold and silver "cracks" of complex shapes speak of the manifestation of power, each product has a unique size.
2.Minotti Collezioni updates its vision of the Deco-contemporary style Minotti Collezioni is based in the central Italian region of Brianza. Initially, the brand appeared to produce classic collections. The last year for the company was marked by the Living Philosophy direction and the Deco-contemporary style - the models are presented in the best modern trends: an emphasis on natural fabrics, expressive seams and elegant form.
3.Flexform - winners of the 2016 Wallpaper* Design Awards in the category "Best Bedroom" The bed called Icaro bed by designer Roberto Lazzeroni won the 2016 Wallpaper* Design Awards in the category "Best Bedroom". Flexform is chosen by lovers of genuine leather, high-quality suede and, of course, handcrafted work - an example of this is the main models of the year: the Twins and Eden sofa beds and the Lario sofa. One of the leading production technologies is hand-treated and woven leather.
4.Vintage Wooden Furniture Collection by Riva 1920 The new line by Riva 1920 features wood as both a material and a form. The X Table by Mario Bellini is made of solid oak and treated with natural oils, the Hellen chair with a universal finish and leather legs by C.R.&S is an ideal option for both private and public interiors. The highlight of the release is the black Maui chair by designer Terry Dwan, it is entirely carved from solid cedar wood. 5.Roberto Cavalli in the new section of the xLux exhibition A separate section of the xLux exhibition is being organized especially for representatives of the American market, in the East to Far East category, in Pavilion No. 3. The brands Borbonese, Fendi, Ferrè, Paul Mathieu, Roberto Cavalli, Ungaro and Versace, Aston Martin, Ritz and even Tonino Lamborghini will be presented here! The design elite will present both fashionable jewelry and interior finishing materials, as well as more substantial pieces of furniture.
6.The Gianfranco Ferré Home exhibition space will take on a stage character The company's architect and creative director Livio Ballabio decided that this time the Gianfranco Ferré Home exhibition space will take on a stage character: classic forms and a minimum of decoration. The black and white rhythm fades into the background - the new season will see shades of ivory with tints of blue-gray tones.
7.Natuzzi presents new luxury items for living spaces Furniture that mechanically reacts to your body movements is now called the Re-vive collection by Natuzzi. The exhibition will feature no less worthy exhibits of the factory: the Lisa armchair and chair and the Leggero dining table designed by our compatriot Viktor Vasiliev, as well as the Herman sofa by Studio Memo.
8.Visionnaire Home Philosophy will present two collections at once under the auspices of Penthouse You will be able to see the Penthouse themed exposition from Visionnaire as the brand’s designers see it. The action will take place in two pavilions at once: an exhibition in the format of glamorous custom-made products — in hall No. 3, and a contemporary collection — in hall No. 5.
9.SaphirKeramik — a new ceramic surface from Laufen The new possibilities of the SaphirKeramik material attracted designers Konstantin Grcic and Toan Nguyen. As a result of the experiments, unique collections VAL and INO were born — washbasins of different shapes, with three-dimensional textures and practical (!) mirror surfaces.
10.Bespoke, Antoniolupi by designer Carlo Colombo Bespoke by Carlo Colombo is a collection with a wide variety of finishes: new colours, wood textures, glossy surfaces - matte or embossed, transparent glass. The frame is made of polished titanium and aluminium frames.
11.Knoll Gold Edition — 18-karat chair The legendary Bertoia Diamond Chairs will emphasize their world value with a very practical form — a diamond version of the chair with 18-karat gold plating. The gold edition of the collection is also dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the designer Harry Bertoia himself.
12.A new take on the “office aquarium” by Campana Brothers and Bd Barcelona The joint project by Campana Brothers and Bd Barcelona, represented by art director Ramón Úbeda, presents the Aquário cabinet model, with an ash base complemented by coloured glass doors.
13.Around the world with Living Divani Want to travel without leaving your home? Then you should visit the Living Divani stand, where they have released collections for each of the cardinal directions. North – the Imago table, south – the Ceiba shelving unit, west – the Rod sofa and east – the Kumo rug collection.
14.Opera chair by Mario Bellini for Meritalia Despite its visual appearance, the Opera chair by Mario Bellini is designed to be extremely comfortable. The frame is built on the subtle principle of proportionality of the "rib of the basket" and the voids between them for comfortable use of the chair.
