The most interesting from the international Cologne furniture exhibition: design

Today we will show you all the most interesting things thatour editors saw at the Cologne furniture exhibition on the first day. Convertible tables, expensive luxury beds, minimalistic sofas and amazing color combinations - in our report Imm Koeln exhibition - that's what it is called - is held this year from 18 to 24 January. This article is a report on the first day of our visit. To begin with, we went to Pavilion 11, which was referred to in the guide as “Design and High Brands”. And in order not to create confusion, we decided to build our reportage according to brands. And you already "grasp" the trends, there are not so many of them and they are quite easy to read. Let us take a quick note: all but one of the factories discussed in this article are some of the best in Europe, renowned for their design and product quality. Therefore, we simply omit the words "famous factory". Draenert, a German manufacturer of tables and chairs, famous for its extremely unusual tabletops made of rare slates and unique transformation systems, offered this year countertops made of marble and slates of fairly common varieties, but completely unusual textures: all of them were only partially polished, some then the veins and patterns remained convex, but also uneven. It is very pleasant to touch such countertops. Kristine Kronke Interior Design we liked the color combination of furniture and accessories. Such warm and at the same time fashionable shades. Terracotta, olive, turquoise. At Walter Knoll, on the contrary, the colors on the stand were "not domestic", and in general, to be honest, unaccustomed to our eyes. This and liked it. We will accustom our eyes to new combinations. The Dutch factory Leolux had, in ouropinion, the most beautiful booth at the exhibition. Well, the brightest for sure. The factory is renowned for its exceptional attitude to the quality of leather used to upholster sofas. By the way, there are only four factories in Europe, which are so anxiously choosing leather and are so careful about its color, preferring natural ones to all other dyes. The stand looked not only very bright, but also very fashionable. At the same time, among the new models, the factory's bestsellers were also exhibited, such as the small Pallone armchair, which has been produced since 1989 and is still perceived with a bang. The novelties of the Fiam factory we will see already in Italy, onMilan furniture salon, but here they could not help photographing even one of their famous mirrors. Uveis Heydarov, "Kitchen interiors":- Using the example of the Cologne exhibition, it is easiest to understand how German design differs from Italian. Here it can be seen, as they say, with the naked eye. German and Austrian - clear, verified, sophisticated, but at the same time with a certain cold mood. Everything Italian in the same minimalism style - warm, creating an atmosphere at home even in the conditions of an exhibition. The shades of metal in the decoration, the types of wood used, and, of course, the upholstery play a role here. Although we must pay tribute - at the stands of COR and Ligne Roset there were very nice collections. For example, I liked the items in the trendy color Rose Quartz. And at the stand of the Italian factory Poliform, whose furniture can be seen in our showroom, I liked everything. And unmatched dressing rooms, decorated with hanging ballet tutus, and shelving, and living areas. Still, Poliform is the manufacturer whose furniture you can furnish the whole house, and it will look stylish and at the same time it will be very cozy and comfortable. The editors at the stand of the Italian brand Poliform liked most of all the library designed by the architect Daniel Libeskind, the wall-to-wall racks and, of course, the dressing room. A wonderful homely atmosphere was shown on herstand factory Poltrona Frau. The new collection for her was designed by the architect Michele Delucchi. We appreciated both the deep blue-green color of the walls and the novelties themselves. The Italian factory Minotti, famous for itsfashion approach to creating collections, where the main were not forms, and colors and textures, this year showed on its stand furniture in all sorts of shades of gray. However, her passion for purple flowers has not changed, including in the collection of carpets in lilac tones. A lot of visitors were attracted by the stand of the Italianfactory Porada, which is not surprising: it was located among the stands of German manufacturers and clearly contrasted with them. In the new collection of the editorial board, the most unusual forms of mirrors, which the factory traditionally offers to hang on the wall all at once and in large quantities - instead of pictures and other decor, were the most liked. French factory Treca Interiors Paris showed at the exhibition as its main collection, and became already a byword in the collection of Orient Express. Contrary to expectations, at the stand of the German factoryCOR, usually produced sofas and armchairs of very strict shapes and colors, were shown this time in sofas in warm sand and pink shades, as well as a collection of transformable upholstered furniture that perfectly fits into the youth interior. Bravo! An exceptionally beautiful united stand wasIpdesign and BW. Olive, emerald and blue-green upholstery alternated with a range of gray-lilac. Visitors stayed for a long time at this stand just to give a rest to their eyes and thoughts. Another island of relaxation was the company's standTommy M: leather sofas and armchairs were so cozy, comfortable and beautiful that I wanted to buy everything at once. And "exacerbated" all the delicious aroma of excellent dressed leather. At the stand of the Austrian company Team7 was not pushed. To look at the eco-friendly and thus expensive design came so many people that it was not easy to photograph the exhibits. One of the most famous manufacturers of shelvingand libraries - Paschen - prepared a surprise: a unique patented system for assembling and dismantling racks. Now you can assemble and dismantle the rack in minutes: all the details are fastened with a system of locks, similar to that used for expensive laminates. It's amazing, simple and ingenious! The most romantic color combinations wereare shown on the stand of the French brand Ligne Roset: there was also the "main trend of the year" - the color of Rose Quartz, and the gray-blue hues, and turquoise, and the fashionable yellow shades of metal. Part of the objects created by one of the favorite designers of the brand - Philippe Nigro. German manufacturer Rolf Benz showedseveral new sofas, as well as an unusual bench and table to it. The impeccable quality of the furniture of the factory, as in past years, attracted a huge number of visitors to the stand. At the stand of the Cassina factory, the apple had nowhere to goto fall. Here, the architect Patricia Urquiola, who created the entire new collection of the factory, gave a master class. But even when the master class passed, the stand was crowded with visitors. The factory produces such items, the design of which does not need to be explained - it is understandable even by people far from design. Finally, we left a story about the stand of factory B& B Italia. Clean lines, verified forms, absolutely correct proportions - as always exemplary. In this case, the quality of furniture of this factory can be considered unsurpassed. Until now, Italy has many hotels, furnished with furniture of this brand in 1970-1980. In some places I had to change the upholstery on the sofas. But not the sofas themselves. In general, the exhibition made a very pleasant impression on usimpression. Of course, gray color in this year filled everything, but most of the furniture that we saw was comfortable, comfortable and, of course, beautiful.
