Where else can you exchange experiences with foreigners?colleagues, share your ideas and get inspired for the year ahead, if not at the main world exhibition on construction and architecture? The presentation of MADE expo 2017 proved that it is definitely worth going there From March 8 to 11, the Milan Exhibition Center "Rho" will host the MADE expo 2017 biennial exhibition. And if the last time it was visited by more than two hundred thousand people in 2015, then it is easy to predict the success of the upcoming, already eighth exhibition. Architects and builders from all over the world will come to Milan to evaluate innovative materials and take part in professional master classes and discussions. The Russian audience is especially important to the organizers of the exhibition, the ICE Agency - the Embassy of Italy and the Italian association Federlegno Arredo Eventi. Therefore, on January 15, a presentation of MADE expo 2017 was held especially for them in the Central House of Architects. Related articlesThe main theme of the presentation, as well as the future oneexhibition, became the renovation of industrial areas. This idea is relevant now all over the world, and Italians pay special attention to it. As the director of the Moscow office of the ICE agency Pier Paolo Celeste said: “Our country is known for its rich cultural and historical heritage, which we do our utmost to protect. In this sense, Italy and Russia are similar, so the need to renovate and restore old buildings instead of demolishing and destroying them is equally important and understandable to us.”Pier Paolo Celeste, Director of the Moscow OfficeICE Agencies The main speakers of the evening, who proved by their own example that centuries-old buildings can become part of a modern city, were Franco Rebecchi, founder of the SOL!D Solution Italian Design architectural bureau in Italy, and Narine Tyutcheva, head of the Rozhdestvenka architectural bureau in Russia. The SOL!D bureau is known for its projects on the transformation of industrial areas and former factories into ultra-modern residential areas and office centers. Franco and his team not only preserve historical buildings, but also successfully fit them into the new landscape, make them part of the city, which is actively used by residents of the metropolis, but remains an architectural monument. Particularly impressive projects include: a shopping and office complex in Minsk on Vosstaniya Square, a former bank building in the center of Belgrade, and the renovation of 16th-century industrial buildings in small Italian towns.Franco Rebecchi, founder of the architectural bureauSOL!D Solution Italian Design Narine Tyutcheva and her architectural bureau Rozhdestvenka have been creating private and public buildings for 25 years, but they specialize in the reconstruction and adaptation of historical buildings to modern life. Narine’s urban projects are not just attempts to bring individual buildings back to life, but also complex large-scale solutions for the city and its residents. These include the Trekhgornaya Manufactory, the Krasnaya Roza factory, the Kristall plant, the revival of the Rusty Ring, and the Moscow River project, which caused heated debate at the presentation. The idea is to launch a tram line almost on water and thereby not only create a new type of transport, but also use the territory that is practically not used by the city. I wonder what other new architectural solutions are offered by professionals from all over the world? Visit MADE expo 2017 in March, and then tell us!
