Origami, in which people live

Attractive architecture of residential buildings isan opportunity not only to raise prices for a specific condominium, but also to attract investment to the block itself. Let's see how they coped with this task in Toulouse. Architects from the Agence Bernard Bühler studio built an original residential complex in Toulouse called "Origami". All the facades of the buildings are decorated with decorative screens made of wooden planks, which in appearance resemble origami. They also protect the apartments from too much bright light. The complex includes two detachedbuildings with a total area of 1900 sq. m. They have 47 apartments, and each has a different layout. The northern side of the houses is a monolith, painted bright yellow, and on the southern and eastern sides there are large balconies that protrude from the structure by 1.5 m. In addition to screens from too bright a sun, residents are protected by blinds made of colored glass, they are on each loggia. The entire project cost the authors 4 million euros.
