What could be a home for a big family? Very cozy! Even if it is decorated in a "cold" Scandinavian style, Ridgard is a small community in the southern province of Skåne (Denmark). It is surrounded by fields and farms and is located close to the sea. There is a fine car and rail connection, so the area is quite in demand among those who want to live in the fresh air. This house is quite old (it was built in the beginningThe last century), but, since it has a modern finish, it resembles a kind of hybrid of antiquity and novelty. The exterior of the building is preserved as it was during the construction. But inside everything has been changed, so that a modern young family with children could feel comfortable in a new dwelling. The living room and kitchen are divided here rather arbitrarily- not partitions and walls, but only quality and type of materials, decoration. In the kitchen there are white walls and a narrow parquet floor of light gray color. In the living-dining room, the original brickwork is preserved, not masked by any modern decoration, and on the floor - an old classic parquet flooring. Our opinion The house turned out to be large, modern andcozy thanks to the use of seemingly incongruous materials and a modern interpretation of the Scandinavian style. In relation to our realities, it is worth adopting this simple technique: you can combine interior items of any style, if they are made in white, gray, black or made of natural wood.
