We don't like to brag, but at the Maison exhibition& Objet were the first to learn something about the new trends and personal preferences of the design guru. Read on for our editor-in-chief Oksana Kashenko's interview with Rosita Missoni.— We are already impressed by the collection:new shapes, interesting prints and color combinations… — I must admit, I really love sun effects! They add freshness. There’s no need to even mention the classic combination of black and white — it’s a traditional, historically established color combination. It means a lot to us. We added a few more color effects to our latest collection, for example the “stone” effect or the “water” effect. It turned out interesting, take a look. — What’s your favorite color in the 2016 collection? — I have several. But you know, the black and white trend is eternal, and I really like it. I also love mixing colors. That’s how you find new combinations. This approach was popular among designers both ten years ago and now. — Which of the collections can be seen in your own home? — I have almost all of my collections at home. At least one item from each. For all occasions, as they say (laughs). — Is there a difference in the preferences of Russian and European customers? — Of course, the choice of textiles is a very individual matter. Tastes differ, as the English say. Some people like white, some black, one prefers paisley, while another is crazy about tartan. — Do you have any special ways of creating prints or color combinations? — I like to play with the background. And prints can be created out of absolutely nothing. For example, this time we took protea (a flower from South Africa) and combined it with our traditional zigzag print. It turned out interesting. — And finally, tell me, which piece of furniture from the latest collection impresses you the most? — I really love this screen from our collection. It has magnets and is very easy to move. Plus, it’s our favorite shape.Rosita Missoni with her daughter Angela
