A white apartment in the attic: a curious secret of the division of space

Small apartments are a headachealready to many generations of people around the world. Today we want to tell you about one unusual, but very functional method of zoning an apartment. Let's take a look! This is an open-plan studio apartment. It is multifunctional: it easily transforms from a cozy living space into a work office. And even if someone comes to you on business, they will never guess what is hidden in the very center... The project of the apartment in the attic, under the very roof, was developed by architects Hugo D'Enjoy and Armando Elias from the Studio craft design studio. The apartment is located in London, rich in small-sized apartments, like all cities in our homeland. But its advantage is that the authors of the project managed to find a creative and rational solution for organizing the space. Our opinion:— You can scold small apartments for their inconvenient size as much as you like. However, any small apartment can be creatively and quite interestingly from a functional point of view. All professional designers know this, and some are even “fanatical” about such orders. But if you are simply looking for fresh ideas, this apartment is just what can become a source of inspiration. Therefore: 1. do not be afraid to decorate your small apartment in light colors - they can work wonders with your space; 2. look for alternative places for the zones that you want to isolate as much as possible - in our example, this is the bedroom. The main charm of this apartment is not even that it is located on the attic floor (someone will consider this a clear minus), but in the cube, which stands exactly in the center of the room. At first glance, this is something useless and probably takes up a lot of space, but if you look closely - there is a bathroom and a small storage room inside, and a bedroom upstairs! Very much “isolated” from the eyes of guests, yet spacious, light, and without the pressure of the ceiling above. This very cube also divides the apartment into zones: the kitchen and dining room are separated from the living room. All the walls of the apartment are painted white, which makes it even brighter, and the effect is complemented by the windows cut into the roof.

Tips for arranging a small apartment:

  • Transformer furniture is an ideal solution for non-standard and tight spaces. And ideally, this furniture should be made to order, based on the needs of your particular layout.
  • Don't be afraid to look for new and unusual places to place your bedroom or other important areas.
  • A shelf that covers the entire wall is a great solution forstoring a variety of things. Souvenirs and books can be left right on the shelves, and things that quickly gather dust and are not used very often can be hidden in boxes, drawers, baskets. At the same time, all this will additionally decorate your room.
