Olga Kosyreva, design critic: — The listeners of my lectures, to whom I tell every year about the best events of iSaloni, often say: “We were in Milan too, but it was as if we were with you at two different exhibitions!” This is not surprising: the non-exhibition program includes, without exaggeration, several thousand events of the most diverse kinds. No one ever manages to visit everything, there is no need to even try. You need to choose what is interesting and useful for you, and try to get as much drive and positivity from the trip and exhibitions as possible, and not sore feet and a feeling of helpless frustration from wasted time. - Gufram on the Rocks in Galleria Carla Sozzani and Paul Smith flagship
The Gufram on the Rocks project is a story about 50years of designing “against the grain”. The gallery space will feature the most archetypal symbols of the brand. Particular attention will be given to the Poltrona object by Alessandro Mendini. The peculiarity of the chair is that its surface perfectly imitates the texture of Carrara marble. A photo of one of the Poltrona copies has been decorating the historical cover of Casabella magazine since the early 80s. And the artist Kris Ruhs, on the other hand, will present a completely new soft sculpture made of rusty iron, taken from its modular sisters, which, in turn, form a single whole. - On top of all that, Cactus' iconic "coat hanger look"from Gufram will be shown in a “psychedelic reimagining” by Paul Smith. In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Italian brand, a limited collection of this product is being released - only 196 items. The 1970s-style update will be supported by a thematic chain of celebrations.

- The triumph of Brazilian design in Nilufar Gallery

- Lasvit in Palazzo Serbelloni

This time Morelato will be presented from an angleeclecticism of the artist Flavio Favero! Furniture installations will take on the outlines of human faces as soon as you take the right angle of view... The Restaurant is the second installation by TomDixon for Caesarstone. The program of the XII Triennale di Milano includesvarious exhibitions, events, workshops, festivals and conferences that will take place throughout the city. The Triennale di Milano mainly addresses key issues such as the “dramaturgy” of design, questions of genre and the impact of globalization on design.
