House and Cottage

Anti-crisis house: energy efficient cottage in Belarus

Energy efficient homes of the future will beearn money for their owners. Although why "the future"? The house that we will show you today is already built, and it consumes half as much energy as ordinary houses. At the end of this winter, an active "energy house" was presented in the Minsk region, distinguished by almost two times lower total energy consumption (compared to the standards in force in Belarus) - 52 kW*h/m2. For reference.Active houses are those with a positive energy balance. In other words, such houses produce energy for their own needs. Rockwool specialists contributed to the creation of the project. In addition to consulting on heat and sound protection measures, the company also acted as a supplier of stone wool, one of the most energy-efficient thermal insulation materials. As external insulation for a house2.5 cm thick material was used, for the roof the layer thickness was increased to 3 cm. In addition, the internal ceilings and floors were subjected to additional heat and sound insulation. As a result, stone wool from Rockwool helped to reduce heat loss to the minimum, provide almost complete sound insulation and a comfortable internal microclimate. The total area of the house is not small - almost 190 sq.m. However, truly impressive parameters were achieved not only with the help of stone wool and high-quality thermal insulation - the ultra-modern energy-saving Velux windows also played their role. Thanks to a special film coating that reflects infrared radiation, double-glazed windows literally receive energy from nature (after all, as is known, infrared radiation "takes away" heat). Another effective development that allowsThe heat pump has become a way to draw energy from the environment, which gives the magical opportunity to obtain up to four kilowatts of heat from every kilowatt of electricity invested. And, of course, this project couldn't do without , thanks to which owners of advanced housing will be able to generate up to 5,000 kWh of electricity every year. Absolutely free, of course. What to do with excess electricity? The Rockwool company offers to sell it to the general network, with the prospect of fully recouping the cost of the house after some time. By the way, this very cost of the house is only 15% higher than the price of a regular country house. And this is already with finishing! In general, not a house, but a dream!
