A loft where you can live and work with equal pleasure only sounds like a myth, but we recently visited just such a place and now we will tell and show you everything
Loft, according to the overwhelming majority of ourcompatriots, this is a refuge at best for brutal marginals, at worst - an office of an advertising company. "Brick walls" and "open communications" are perceived as "saving on repairs" and "budget shock value", but the experience of recent years proves that public opinion, as often happens, is far from reality.
To prove this, we have chosen a striking example of stylistic flexibility - a project on the territory of the most famous loft quarter "Danilovskaya Manufaktura". It is a loft, no doubt, but what a loft!
In just 60 meters of attic space there is a full-fledged office, a living room with a projector and a working fireplace, a kitchen, a bedroom, two bathrooms and a grand piano.
How is this possible? The point is in the approach to work of the author, Marianna Dosadina. The main design principles in the bureau "4 Furies", of which Marianna is one, consist of simple, but very important things that manifest themselves in each project of the bureau.
Firstly, it is compact, and it is evident here.Secondly, comfort - looking at the photographs, you don't feel any contradictions. Thirdly, nature - all the plants in the loft were given their own names. And fourthly, individuality: there was a convenient place for all the personal preferences of the inhabitants of this interior - there is a piano, a fireplace, an easel and even a reading corner on the second floor.
All zones, on the one hand, are very compact, the other is flexible and multifunctional. The desk, for example, can change its vertical level - for sitting at the computer and for drawing while standing. No one can find the fireplace at first glance. Just a mirror wall with niches. And at the same time, the value of the presence of an open fire in the interior is not diminished in any way. Here you will find warmth, comfort, and aesthetics.
The sofa in the living room was made according to the author's sketches andtherefore it can do everything. At least everything that upholstered furniture can do. When unfolded, it turns into a bed, and if you use a little imagination in manipulating the movable elements, you can get a sofa, a couple of couches or armchairs as desired.
A person who lives and works in the city, barelywill spend long hours cooking. That's why the kitchen here is small, but it has absolutely everything - from a hood to a coffee maker. Plus - a thick curtain to hide traces of culinary creativity from guests.
There is no TV in the living room, but there is something more impressive - a projector. It does not heat up, does not "scatter" wires everywhere and can be removed with one movement of the hand.
High ceilings must work to make the most of the space, so the bedroom, reached via a spiral staircase, is located on the second floor, directly above the kitchen.
The second light - the windows in the roof - is a separate pleasure. Firstly, much less artificial lighting is required. Secondly, at night you can see the stars on your own ceiling.
Now answer the question - why rent?office, if you can work from home? In a loft like this, for example. Here you can calmly receive clients, and if you don’t tell them yourself, they will never understand that they came into your apartment.
But these are functions.
And now the most interesting part. This loft is actually the office of the studio "4 Furies" and the immediate workplace of the author of the project. Moreover, potential clients who are in a state of uncertainty regarding the acceptability of the loft as a living environment are given an unprecedented opportunity to feel the brick and all its charms "with their skin". That is, to rent this loft.
It is quite possible to feel the resonance in a few daysor lack thereof, and perhaps change your mind about rough brick and outdoor wiring forever. The "4 Furies" claim that they have already managed to "convert" more than a dozen doubters.
