Design of fixtures by their own hands: manufacturing options

Lighting plays a very important role in interior designimportant role, because with its help you can easily hide the flaws of the layout and create any atmosphere. No less important is the design of the lighting fixtures that are located in the apartment. Simple forms of chandeliers and lamps are gradually becoming a thing of the past, giving way to unusual lampshades and shades. With the help of improvised materials, you can independently create an original lamp and decorate your home.Lamp of threadPhoto 1. The overall style of the room depends on the shape and degree of illumination of the lamp.

Lamp of thread

An openwork, almost weightless ball with a light bulb inside looks quite elegant and unusual, and even a child can make it with his own hands. To make such a lamp you will need:

  • balloon;
  • cotton or acrylic thread;
  • adhesive for wallpaper;
  • petrolatum.

In a small container you need to dilute the glue and let it sitit to swell, and then place a skein of thread in it. The threads should not be wound too tightly, otherwise the glue will not be able to soak them evenly. Next, inflate the balloon, tie it and draw a circle around the base with a marker, the diameter of which should be slightly larger than the diameter of the light bulb. The rest of the balloon is lightly smeared with Vaseline - this will allow the balloon to be pulled out freely after the threads have dried.Photo 2.A plastic lamp can be easily made at home from disposable plastic bottles or spoons. The main process requires maximum accuracy: take the thread by the edge and begin to wrap the ball, removing excess glue with your fingers. The smoother the thread is wound, the more attractive the design of the lamp looks. To facilitate the work process, it is recommended to hang the ball vertically. The color of the threads, as well as the number of turns, is selected at your discretion. The volume of the lampshade can also be adjusted by choosing balls of different sizes. When the frame of threads dries, the ball is taken out, a light bulb is inserted instead and the lamp is connected (photo 1). Using the same technology, you can make a chandelier from wire: instead of a balloon, take a metal bucket, replace the threads with soft wire and make a lampshade. The wire can be wound in a spiral or in a chaotic manner, you can supplement the design with small metal parts. Of course, this lamp design looks a bit rough, but if you complement the interior with similar accessories, it will look very stylish and unusual. Return to contents</a>

Lamp from plastic

Plastic bottles and disposable tableware are excellent materials for creating all sorts of crafts, including lampshades. You will need very little for the work:

  • Powersave lamp;
  • a three-liter plastic bottle;
  • packing of disposable spoons;
  • glue gun;
  • sharp knife.

First, use a knife to cut off the bottom of the bottle and the handlesspoons to the very base. Along the perimeter of the bottle, starting from the bottom edge, using a gun, glue the spoons with the convex side outward. The spoons should be arranged in even rows in a checkerboard pattern so that each subsequent row covers the gaps in the previous one.Photo 3.A lamp made of glasses can be made from disposable cups, paper clips and an energy-saving light bulb. Having completely sealed the surface of the bottle, proceed to assembly: carefully thread the wire through the neck and connect it to the lamp (photo 2). This lamp design is perfect for a romantic setting; the lighting is very soft, subdued, giving a feeling of coziness and warmth. If such a lampshade seems too simple, you can glue rhinestones on it and paint it. Original and very beautiful chandeliers can also be made from plastic cups. In the manufacturing process, you will need:

  • disposable cups;
  • clothespins;
  • stapler or glue gun;
  • Powersave lamp.

If you take multi-colored glasses, the designthe lamp will look even more interesting. So, first, the glasses are laid out in a circle and connected to each other with clothespins to determine the diameter of the lampshade, then fixed with a stapler. Now you can attach the elements at the top and bottom, turning the circle into a volumetric ball (photo 3), or make 3 more of the same circles and put them one on top of the other - you get a lamp in the shape of a cylinder. To assemble the structure, you need to twist a ring of wire, fix it inside the frame of glasses and thread the wire with a light bulb. This method of making a lampshade has different options. If you use transparent multi-colored glasses, the lamp turns out much brighter and more elegant. Instead of a lamp, New Year's garlands are often inserted, balls are painted in different colors, the edges of the glasses are cut in the form of fringe, etc. The simpler the design of the lamps, the easier it is to diversify it. Luminaire made of plywood

Photo 4. Plywood lamp design. Another unusual option for decorating a lamp or chandelier. Here you will need:

  • a piece of thick plywood 20x30 cm;
  • electric jigsaw;
  • sandpaper;
  • paint;
  • drill;
  • a light bulb;
  • fastening cables;
  • a cartridge and a cord.

The plywood should be dense, of the correct shape, witheven edges. First, you need to cut out the image of the chandelier in the plywood. To make this process easier, you can use a stencil. After cutting out the silhouette, the material is treated with sandpaper and painted. Then, in the upper part of the workpiece, a hole is drilled for the electric cord, a light bulb is attached and the product is suspended on fastening cables under the ceiling (photo 4). The unusual design of the lamp will certainly delight guests and add exclusivity to the home. In addition to the methods described above, any things can be used to make homemade lighting fixtures, from old unnecessary hangers to paper napkins. The imagination and creative approach of modern designers allow you to create unique masterpieces even from trash, so do not be afraid to experiment - everything is in your hands!</ ul>
