Harmony arises at the intersection of styles
Eclecticism was born and formed asan independent architectural movement back in the 1830s, when the classics dominated attempts at imaginative comprehension and embodiment of creative ideas. And if eclectic manifestations in monumental art were preceded by long processes that formed the postulates and laws of this genre, then in interior design innovations were introduced much faster. Designer thought decisively shook off urban shackles, departed from established canons, offered bold and even shocking solutions. But they, surprisingly, found a lively response in the perception of the conservative part of consumers, not to mention people inclined to change.
