Application of wall painting

The ideal option for creative people would bedecorating a single-color wall in the hall with paints. In order to draw any image on the work surface with your own hands, it is not necessary to have exceptional artistic abilities. To apply a drawing to the wall, you can use a special stencil. The pattern should be chosen in such a way that it perfectly matches the interior of the entire room.Figure 3.You can also decorate the wall with a painting on the wall, which can be applied using a special stencil. It is desirable that the painting be present only on one wall or on part of it. It is most appropriate to apply flowers, a tree branch, animal silhouettes or an ornament to the wall in the living room (Fig. 3). Experienced artists can try to create a more complex wall composition. In addition to the stencil, the home craftsman will need:

  • colour pencils;
  • several brushes of different sizes;
  • acrylic paints;
  • textured rollers;
  • varnish.

It is very important that the wall that is to bepaint, was in perfect condition. First, it needs to be puttied and primed. Only after that can you start applying the pattern to the surface.

  • Apply the stencil to the wall and lightlyoutline its contours with colored pencils. A simple pencil should not be used for this purpose, since its lead will mix with acrylic paints and spoil their color. You need to draw large elements first, then small ones.
  • The resulting drawing is neatly coloredacrylic paints, choosing colors for the interior of the room. Apply paint in several stages, painting in the first place large parts and only after that go to the secondary.
  • Major elements of painting are most convenientpaint over with a roller. Thanks to this approach, the color will lie evenly on the wall surface, and the drawing process itself will not take much time. It will be especially interesting to look at the painting done with textured rollers.
  • After the created wall masterpiececompletely dry, it needs to be coated with a few thin layers of lacquer using a spray gun. The varnish coating will reliably protect the painting from dust and burnout.

    Mirrors in the interior of the living room

    A free wall in the hall can be successfully complemented with a mirror. Thanks to the correctly selected dimensions of the mirror surface, it will be possible to visually expand the boundaries of the living room and fill it with light.Soft muted colours will add atmosphereromance and comfort. A mirror in a beautiful frame can become the main highlight of the room. It should be positioned so that it reflects the crystal chandelier, vases and all the beautiful things in the room. This technique will give the living room additional luxury. Decorating the hall with mirrors should be done with knowledge of the matter, otherwise you can spoil the interior:

    • The narrow room can be visually expanded by installing a reflective surface on a long wall;
    • Do not hang in a cramped room with huge mirrors, as they absorb space and make it uncomfortable;
    • To give the dark room additional natural light, the mirror should be placed on a wall perpendicular to the window.

    If the living room is spacious and well lit,then the mirror can be used solely as a decorative element and installed at your own discretion. The latest fashion trend is to decorate a wall with a composition of several mirrors placed in original frames. If you arrange them on the decorated wall chaotically or in a ladder, you can achieve an interesting design effect. Several reflective surfaces at once will make the living room glamorous and unusually stylish.
