No one will argue that a preschooler's child anda teenager's room should be decorated differently. What about a room for a 10-year-old boy? He is no longer so interested in toys, and it is still too early for guitar and posters of rock bands. We offer ideas for solving this problem The room of ten-year-old Maxim - in bright orange and green colors, with a children's corner and a climbing net - has ceased to appeal to him. The boy "grew" out of this interior: "It has become inconvenient to invite friends." In addition, with the emergence of new interests and new things, the problem of zoning and organizing space arose. Designer Marina Vostrikova has found an excellent solution, combining practicality in the interior and motives of space in the decor. Marina Vostrikova Graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute. For 16 years, she has implemented more than 100 architectural and design projects. In 2015 she became the head of the GuruDesign studio. livemaster.ru/gurudesign Customers' wishes The room had to be decorated in a more "adult" style, without making it too serious. It was necessary to create, divided into zones: for recreation, for study, for games and sports. In addition, the customers voiced two specific wishes: a Dream Land bed and a wall-to-wall map of the world. Marina Vostrikova, architect-designer: - We could not find a map for a long time, so we offered instead a three-dimensional photo wallpaper with space and the planet Earth. Color solution The interior is dominated by light, calm tones: white, light gray and beige. They do not get tired, they contrast with bright photo wallpapers and emphasize "cosmic" motives. Play of light: Ceiling recessed lights for central lighting, a table lamp for the study area and sconces above the bed for the relaxation area were used. Furniture and interior items Special attentionthe designer paid. In addition to the dressing room, this role is played by transforming cubes manufactured by Vox (Poland). They form a shelving system of closed and open storage shelves. The shelves can be changed and moved, which means that the interior can be easily updated if desired. Deep drawers are great for storing toys, books and textbooks. It was not easy to agree on the arrangement of the transforming cubes - now it fully corresponds to the wishes of the customers. The Dream Land bed, as well as a sideboard and a desk with a chair, fit well into the interior. As for the decor, its most important elements are wallpaper and a photo-printed stretch ceiling. Materials and finishes The walls were decorated withused wallpaper for painting, Tikkurila interior paint, non-woven photowall-paper. Natural materials are used in the decor, which is especially important for a children's room (linen curtains).
