How to turn an ordinary small two-room apartment intoa modern loft with a Parisian spirit? What should the interior of a young man be like and what is design without design? Let's look at the example of an apartment in the center of Moscow. The apartment was created for a twenty-year-old young man, the customer's son. When we met, an interesting request was voiced: to make a "design without design", that is, to decorate the interior so that it was both beautiful and functional, but at the same time there was no feeling that a designer had worked on it. Andrey Nadtochiy and Victoria Kosareva from the Edifico bureau coped with this task 100%. Edifico architectural bureau The bureau was founded by Victoria Kosareva and Andrey Nadtochiy in 2012. Both graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute at different times. The main credo was the desire for constant development and professional growth. Victoria and Andrey say the following about their work: "We do not adhere to the templates of one style and are always open to new challenges. This is what dictated the stylistic heterogeneity of our interiors. For us, design is a profession, a hobby and a measure of everything." www.edifico.ru In terms of planning, the designers faced two important tasks. Firstly, it was necessary to transform an ordinary apartment with a long and small separate rooms into a comfortable studio: this was achieved by using an architectural approach and combining the space as much as possible. The result was the effect of one room “flowing” out of another. Secondly, the designers had to competently plan a very compact bathroom of irregular shape, in the center of which the utility pipes run.Even though it is an ordinary apartment, it is notrelated to the loft in its classical interpretation, the customer wanted to design the interior in this style. The designers decided to recreate the desired atmosphere with the help of furniture, decoration, textures and many details. They also did a lot of work with the customer to analyze “analogues” - photographs of interiors that he liked for one reason or another.Victoria Kosareva and Andrey Nadtochiy, Edifico:— The theme of illogical, at first glance, elements runs through the entire interior. We artificially created some kind of temporal depth for this room, avoiding signs of a new building, so that in the end it would seem like a furnished attic, and not a renovated two-room apartment. With the general loft style, the interior also has classic elements: parquet boards laid in a "French herringbone", doors with panels in the dressing room and in the apartment, a ceiling rose and a cornice in the living room area. We spent quite a long time choosing a sofa, since it is a kind of zoning element and had to have a beautiful back, match the aesthetics of the loft and the relaxed atmosphere of the entire interior. In the end, the choice fell on the Togo model from the Ligne Roset factory. The kitchen's decor is built on contrasts:The open metal hood and “warm” finishing details – a wooden tabletop and shelves against the background of a split apron in “hog” tiles – are harmoniously combined with the dining group, which uses deliberately different textures and objects. The bathroom is separated from the kitchen-living rooma glass partition from floor to ceiling, which at the same time visually unites this space with the sink area. The protrusion of the load-bearing wall is played up with a colored hexagon of different shades, which goes onto the bathroom floor and creates a kind of “live” accent spot. There is a full-length mirror behind the sink, due to which the reflection of the hall is visible and there is no feeling of the closed space of a standard bathroom. Behind the mirror there are open shelves, which made it possible not to install a countertop near the sink and a spacious cabinet for household items. The toilet with such a structure, like the shower cabin, is hidden behind a separate door. The interior also uses interestingThe technique is a shelving unit that runs along the entire wall, from floor to ceiling, and partially belongs to the hallway and bedroom, and the glass door panel is attached to the shelving unit itself. The bedroom itself is done in neutral tones.gray and white colors and looks very intimate and relaxing. However, it is not without interesting details and elements of loft style: here we see interesting industrial-type lamps and a combination of completely different furniture, in this case - bedside tables, one of which resembles a storage box., zoning the bedroom space andhallway, made of aged Belgian brick. Due to the mirrored tinted surface of the door to the bedroom, the space again flows smoothly, and the reflections make it visually larger: air appears in the interior, which is very important for small apartments. The glass door is positioned in such a way that a person entering the apartment immediately sees the window, but at the same time the main part of the bed remains "off-screen".The main colors of the entire interior:white, shades of gray and graphic black. Turquoise and red are used for small accents. The main finishing materials are decorative concrete plaster and paint. The following were used in this interior:
