A chalet style house is the perfect solution forhilly terrain with long winters and snowy landscapes. But it doesn’t have to look like a village hut! A chalet can also be a great example of modern architecture, like this house in Canada. This house is located in the very center of a high hill and is surrounded by trees on all sides. The view is magical: from such a height, the entire forest panorama is clearly visible, including a small river that flows nearby. The house itself is compact, but seems spacious due to the large area of glazing and light colors in the interior. At the same time, it is divided into two parts by a terrace: the main, two-story building contains the living room and bedrooms, and the one-story mini-house is a studio. As a result, the rooms are filled with the air and peace that reign in a winter forest. This is especially noticeable in the bedroom: it seems that the bed was carefully placed right among the tree branches. And yet, there is no feeling of emptiness in the house. Thanks to the correct lighting, wood stove and warm shades of wood, it is always very cozy here. And the windows, free of shutters and heavy curtains, allow you to enjoy the pine forest, falling snowflakes or sunbeams penetrating through the trees without unnecessary obstacles.
